I KNOW! That's what I was tryin to tell her! It could have been sumptin really bad. She has no idea what it smelled like. Nothin like any stump I've ever smelled before. I swear it was movin, too.

Hey, does anybody know any secrets on how to dig a hole in the water? Every time I try it just keeps fillin back up! I want to get sumptin, like a stick or a rock that's at the bottom - so I try to dig a hole in the water to get it. It just doesn't work like sand. So if any of you doggies figgers it out, let me know.

Rupert, you're waaayyy lucky that your mom gets to take you somewhere that you can swim off lead!!!!!!! My mom won't let me off lead, even in the waters because I tries to visit all the people out ins their boats trying to fishie.

Yah, Rup -waterz tricksy like that. I'm not sure about jumping off that thingy. I mean, I likes water and I likes jumpin', but I'm not sure if I likes 'em together! Mia says yur handsome and good at lotsa stuff.

Rupert, if you wanna dig sumfin outta da water, first ya gotta dig it a little bit. Then, you grab it wit yer paws and pull it closer to yerself. If yer lucky, a little bit of it comes up outta da water, and ya don't gotta put your face in, you can just grab it If it doesn't be nice and come up, you gotta stick yer nose in real fast and grab it outta da water. Remember to blow bubbles so da water doesn't go up yer nose. Or, ya could just stare at yer mom and if you do it long enough, she will probably get it for ya.
And there you have it, my technique for gettin stuff outta do water- Max

Hey Coop! It's real important that I listen to my mama when I'm off that (darn) leash. I been to a whole bunch of ohbeedeins classes, so I'm learned pretty good. It's just whether I want to listen or not...

I know what you mean about wanting to swim out real far! One time I saw these real big ballys floatin, and I really wanted to go get them! I know I could have made it, but mama said no, they were tied down, and they were some kind of markers for those water skiiers. Have you ever seen any of those? Those people can move right on top of the water! And they go really fast, too. I've seen some people in pontoon boats, too. They don't go as fast, and I'm sure I could swim out to them too, but again, mama says no. [8|]

Hey, tanks Max. I'll try that. It seems like a lot to remember, but I tink I got it. I'm really gonna haf to praktis blowin bubbles out my nose, I'm not sure I know how to do dat.

Rupert - you are way lucky that your momma lets you go in that big pool. We only have a little pool here (5 foot) and I know how to jump from the deck. My momma says that the ocean is too big for me and I gotsta just stick to pools [8|]. I dunno, maybe she'll let me next year when I'm two.
