Week of October 13th Chat

Thanks for checking in, Jackie.  Still sending you both loads of good vibes and hugs.  Wish we lived closer so we could help somehow.

Continuing to send "feel better" vibes to Ginger, Callie, and Glenda, too.  If I had a magic wand, I'd wave it so all my forum friends would be restored to perfect health!

Karen, your 12 hours days sound exhausting.  It's been several years since I had a schedule like that, and I couldn't handle it when I was MUCH younger!  I didn't get paid by the hour, so at least you have that little bit of benefit.  Still, I hope your schedule becomes more reasonable soon.

Doug, you need to retire so you can have even more time with Sky.  Surely working with him is more satisfying and enjoyable, even if the pay is lousy!  Wink

Maureen, I know exactly what you're describing, and it's very frustrating.  I end up just scrolling around looking for the chat topic on that cluttered grid/sticky-note page, then I can see who posted last.  If I haven't read that post yet, I click on it so at least you can start reading from the most recent page instead of from the "top" of the post.  Major design flaw, IMO.

DH is watching "Grimm" right now -- season premiere.  He has been excited all week about its return.  It's fun to look for familiar spots in Portland, but I haven't kept up with the show after its first year.

    Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Continued thots and prayers for Jackie and Charles.  And of course, feel better vibes for Ginger and Callie.

My lower back was feeling better, but last night it started complaining again, and this morning it really hurts.  Shoot.  Between that and feeling like there is tape or something constricting on my ribs, blech.

Got such a kick out of momma squirrel yesterday.  She tends to pose someplace where I will see her.  If I'm on the deck, often in the yard, sitting up with her little paws crossed and begging, or if I'm inside, she tends to sit on the deck railing where she'll be seen.  That's what she was doing yesterday when I spotted her.....haven't spent much time outside since the last 4 days have been gloom and rain.....so I grabbed a handful of peanuts and started out, and she was racing to meet me at the patio doors!  Too darned cute.

My next door neighbors are always amazed at how she sits on the railing with me out there and we "chat".  The chickedees are also still hanging around.  Seems like they should be flying south pretty soon......getting downright cold here!
