I'm glad you have a good dog-sitter, Julie. I'd be a wreck leaving them behind for so long, but trying to take them with you to another state while you're working and everything would be even more stressful -- for you AND for them.
I'm afraid I fall into the category of "Chronic Complainer." I know it's not productive, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something when I have no control over what I'm complaining about. Thus my incessant griping and whining about the rainy weather here, for example. I have often joked that I could put "complaining" as a skill on my resume, I'm so good at it!
Reminds me of something brilliant my college roommate said when we were having dinner in the cafeteria one night, lamenting the TON of homework we had to face back in our dorm room. She gave a huge sigh and said, "I have so much homework to do that the complaining alone will take hours!!"
Ruby was very restless the night before last, changing positions several times, finally sitting up at 2AM and not lying back down. I thought maybe she was going to get sick, so I went to move her off the bed and noticed she was shaking. I woke DH (who was snoring through all this, of course), and said, "Maybe she has to go potty." He took her out and she had really bad diarrhea. She ate her breakfast okay a few hours later, and we gave her some pumpkin. It was a little better by late yesterday afternoon, and no problems last night, so hopefully that's the end of it. Poor Rubes!
It's only 10AM and I'm already thinking about lunch . . . not a good sign!
