Gloomy Monday 10-21

All this rain is telling me I Made the wrong decision at work on a project letting it go beyond Nov 15.  I knew it in my gut that this was going to be a wet ugly fall but i agreed with it anyway. I am  supposed to go up north tomorrow for work too and they are supposed to get rain snow frozen mix. That won't be fun. That is in the forecast for us on Thurs. Yuck.

Went to Texas roadhouse last night for dinner with my mom and sister. Do they call it Texas roadhouse in Texas btw? ;p kind of like Chinese food in China. Anyway, I had a melt in your mouth steak Omg it was delicious. I love that place.

Julie, sorry you've got to travel in the nasty weather.  I won't brag about our weather.   Yes, they call it Texas Roadhouse here too.  I've never been to one.  I might have to give them a try or maybe not.  I got pissed at them because they sued a small family owned restaurant with the same name to change their name.  This little restaurant had been around for years and years before the big chain place moved into our area.  It pays to register your business name with the state if you want to avoid getting shafted by the big boys.

I'm sleepy this morning.  I often have trouble getting to sleep on Sunday night.  I manage to forget work all weekend but on Sunday nights I lay in bed thinking of all the work stuff I've got to deal with on Monday.  I think I finally fell asleep sometime around 2 AM.  Alarm goes off at 5.

Someone here lost (ran off, not deceased) their Vizsla and last week a guy's JRT got away and is still lost. I always feel saddest about lost dogs when it's a breed I love.

DH was happy that the Cowboys won.  I was too busy to pay much attention. 

Julie - that sounds good.  I've never seen one down here in FL. Jackie - I know what you mean ... "thinking" + falling asleep = NEVER good!!

The "neighborhood" Catholic church had hit's annual community-fest this weekend and we go every year.  We're not Catholic but not only are they "good neighbors" -- but if ANYTHING goes wrong for a family (fire, tragedy, etc.) *this* church is **there**.  Again and again I have seen them help families who were not their parishoners but who just needed help.  So we go every year -- not just for the funnelcake (*smile*) but just to be supportive back.  When I drove by this morning all the rides and stuff were all packed up and trucks leaving.  Goodbye CommunityFest until next year!!

Jackie, I know what you mean - David and I both spied a "lost dog" sign in the neighborhood last night -- sad.

I hope the missing dogs are found safe.

I'm sorry to read that you didn't sleep well, Jackie.

I broke down and put flannel sheets on my bed. I don't think it's going to get any warmer. The s.n.o.w. word is in our forecast for Thursday. I also put my summer clothes away and hauled out my winter clothes. It was a very sad weekend overall, esp. when I realized I have a number of items that I need to replace. I don't think I could get away coming to work in sweats for long.

It is cool and glooming here today .   I managed to overwork myself Saturday cleaning the plant room and bringing my tropicals in.  I got it done but I was not moving well at the end of the day.   All these fronts coming in and out have been killer on the Fibro. 

I did go see my Mom and Dad my is doing better every day.  Dad messed his back up doing yard work so not he is moving as slow as Mom.  I left there and went to Addy and Ava's birthday party at the park.  It was an awesome sunny and 67 degrees at the park so it was a great day for the granddaughter's birthday celebrations.  I enjoyed see my kids and grandkids and some other friends and ex-relatives I havent seen in a while. 

Got home last night just about supper time for the boys and they were very happy to see me .  Its so nice to be loved

Please think good thoughts for DH today. He's taking the practical test for engineer and I can tell he's a nervous wreck. One fail and it's over and the elements are timed. He doesn't do well with that kind of stress but then, who does? At least he'll know today how he did and we won't have to agonize and wonder.

Vibes streaming to your husband for his test today, Cathy.  That kind of test is the absolute worst.

lol, Deb. I'd post a pic of some crossed dog paws but don't have any on my work computer and hate to plagiarize someone else's photo.

Is it considered plagerism to post pictures that you find on the web.  Not being snarky - just would like to know the posting etiquette, because probably 95% of the photos I post are not photos taken by me but images that are "out there" on the web. 

Can someone enlighten me ?

Deb, I don't really know what the rules and laws are about using photos on the web.  I do remember Paige saying more than once something about people posting pictures that don't belong to them.  Since we don't seem to have any mods lately, don't sweat it. lol  I think if it's a photo of a product or a drink and recipe, you're ok.  Those are out there for the public to see but sometimes a google search brings up lots of images people post that they might not realize are being stolen.  I mean shared. lol   It's not like you or any of us here are using the pics to make money or for any nefarious reasons.  I found a lot of cute pictures of dogs with their paws crossed but hesitated because I remembered Paige's stern warnings. lol

I'm gonna' have one of the guys arrest me, Jackie - you know just to be sure.
