Karen, I can sympathize with what you said about legislation underway that makes things worse for many people or will exacerbate or contribute to more problems. We see that happening here, too. Add to that things happening all over the country, like the weather crises, poverty, hunger, crime, terrorist plots, and politics (e.g., former SC Governor Sanford wins an election -- really???) -- it can make you feel like throwing in the towel. One of my friends always says she avoids the TV or internet news to keep her sanity. I see her point, but then I'd feel uninformed, so it's a Catch-22.
But, it is encouraging when there are bright spots, like the person returning your phone, Lisa. That's nice to hear.
Mr. W and I could be clipping partners! I like to use coupons, but it's like pulling teeth to get DH to use them. Maybe he'll be more open-minded about coupons when he retires (if that ever happens!).
Good luck with the new stylist, Tina. I went to see mine yesterday. Only my 3rd visit with her. I like her personally, and the salon is nice, but for the higher price I'm paying, I'm not wild about the cut. Finding a stylist you really like, who does a great job, for a price you're happy to pay is a near impossible task.
On a very random note: did anyone see the photo circulating online of Jon Stewart walking his three-legged pitbull? I loved Jon Stewart already, but that made me love him more. :-)
