Hi all!

I don't want to work today either. But, Fridays are my busiest day of the week, so guess I'll have to bite the bullet and get through it.

And then I get to play. I have some serious outside plans for the weekend. Playing in the dirt, yardwork, a good long romp with the kids.......

I have Itsmyluckyday too - I always win when Elvis rides at Monmouth. I'm also throwing some money on Overanalyze and I'm hoping somebody scratches so I can bet Fear the Kitten because I think that's a hysterical name for a horse.

ETA: I can't bet Bravo anymore - Kate showed me on Facebook that he's dating one of the girls she went to HS with - eeeewwwwww. Only about a 20 year age difference.

I am ready to retire. I have the tired body, enough money, and a wife who retired two years ago. It is 30 degrees out and I get to work with water today. I really wanted to sleep in. We had dinner last night with friends, both retired, so we were up late. I really don't want to work today. Shirt, sweater, vest, Carhartt winter weight coat, and I still feel the wind hit. TGIF. Of course, I have to get up tomorrow and move brush out and work on the yard. My wife put new tire on her car. Nice tires, 90000 mile warrantee. Paid less for my first few cars, combined. But they are nice and should last the life of the car.

looks like pretty much everyone - except the high rollers Deb & Tina Wink - aren't having lovely days!

Add me to that list. I feel really nauseous today. Did make it through a walk with B - 2.8 miles

but desperately want to climb back under the covers now

He's been cleared to swim starting next week which is great news

I need to make some Derby picks

The sun showed its face for about 2 hours this morning - gone already and not due back over the next week. So we are pretty much through one week of two straight weeks of wet, cool, dark weather. Our norm is 80* and yesterday I think we made it all the way to 60*. It is May 3rd and my winter clothes are still out and my summer clothes are still in the plastic tubs. Normally the switch is made in March. I know, I know at least its not snowing here but this is getting very old. All my little plants are just waiting for some warmth and sun, some radish babies died I think from being too wet, didn't know that was possible

Oh, Overanalyze, yeah, I've looked hard at that one, mainly because I have a tendecy to overanalyze things. Not that you could tell by me picking so many horses. I'll end up not going with any of them and just plain not betting because I'll confuse myself.

Fear the Kitten - doesn't sound like a very manly name for a colt.

Weather is good here, but I am stuck reading through over 1000 customer comments. I am literally falling asleep at my desk.

We have an exciting weekend planned. Tonight we are heading to Costco and the fruit market. Tomorrow we are cleaning the carpets and watching the Derby. Sunday I am going to the fabric store with my sister and mom to pick out a pattern and cloth for some a sundress for Riley. WE ARE TOTALLY WILD ANIMALS

Great day here so far. It'll be in the mid-90s, so I need to get Shane's walk in early. I also want to get all my cleaning done today. Then I plan to sit back this afternoon and play with my new Kindle :)

We're supposed to be in the 90s tomorrow and then it drops to the 80s and mid-70s for the rest of the week.

There's a huge fire burning near my hometown (Ventura County) and they're sending firefighters from the area down today. DH is just getting off work, so he won't have to go...this time.

I apparently don't want to work today either. I meant to come get my allergy shots around 8:30-9:00. I just got them now. Callie got up at 4:30, so I was up for a bit. I guess I eventually went back to sleep. And I got up at 9:51. Oops. I kept putting off getting up for a few more minutes, and I guess eventually, I really fell asleep. Too bad, because I really wanted breakfast from Chik Fil A. Or maybe I didn't actually. I also meant to get some paperwork done.

My next mission today is to go see a student whose parents are a bit crazy. They want my report in record time. We met Wednesday, so I saw her yesterday, and will go again today, Monday and Tuesday. Maybe Wednesday to wrap some things up and talk to teachers a bit. Usually, that meeting, I would have never been called into. They asked for me specifically, and asked at 2:15 the day before if I could come at 9. Ummm... I'm flattered you wanted me, and you are lucky I didn't make other plans that morning. Hopefully this kid is there today. I think she might not be. If you want me to do this in record time, your kid needs to be in every day until I am done see her.
