Why do kids hate to go to bed? I love to go to bed! Where/when in life does that change?
Excellent question, Julie! I'm never unhappy about having to go to bed. In fact, there are many mornings when I'm dragging myself OUT of bed that I'm thinking to myself, "I can't wait until I can get back in here tonight!" I realize that's actually a pretty pathetic way to live one's life.
From last night -- Lisa, you're not a bad Mom! You're just incredibly busy with a full schedule that would exhaust most people. And it's not like you missed the open house because you were out trolling the local bars. You were having a fun family night, playing games with Riley and spending valuable time together! I understand how upset you must've been, though. I consider myself very organized, and on the rare occasion when I've completely missed a pre-scheduled thing (whether it be business or personal), I'm near tears, too. It makes me think I'm starting to lose my mental capacity.
That little skeleton is creepy looking. But it is fascinating to think how well preserved it is. I wonder if they'll be able to determine exactly what it is. Six inches is very tiny, even for a premature baby that died. Maybe it was the baby of a pygmy or something.
Tarantulas on your patio, Jackie? That's a frightening way to start a morning!
