Sun was shining, thermometer hit 80º, nice breeze, so we went for a walk. As we go over the first hill, we see the black clouds approaching. A little farther, and we hear the thunder. Turn towards home as the wind picks up. Walk into the garage just as the rain starts. Wife's first thought is we should plant grass seed on the puppy patch, even though it has killed all grass seed for several years.

Hi all -- Jen, sorry it's been such a difficult thing with Luke,  Jackie glad you got rain.  Julie?  Mud sounds kinda fun? LOL

Cathy -- probably a good call, but sad.  Doug -- points for being Mr. Mower-fixer!!  Karen -- you helped those folks make memories!!

    I know I forgot someone!

This afternoon we took a friend & her little boy to see "Miss Nelson Has a Field Day" (Shakespeare festival's spring kid thing).  I just LOVE taking this kid to plays.  He's 3 but very intense for a kid.  This is the 3rd (I think) thing we've taken him to, and SUDDENLY today he figured out that the guys who were "Frog and Toad" in the last play were the football players in Miss Nelson.  So ... he told everyone the football players were hjs "favorite".

They let the kids get autographs, etc. after -- it's the interns from U of Cent FL who work with the Festival who do the kids things ... so these two guys really got a kick out of being "recognized"  *laughing*  I'm still not sure who had more fun -- the kid or the actors LOL

My air conditioning isn't working -- ugh.  Got a call in to the repair guy for tomorrow.  But it's too danged hot in here!!  But hey -- better getting it fixed now than August!

Karen - I hope your husband is able to fix the washer. So far, we've been really lucky with DIY repairs on ours and it's a dinosaur ;).

I took Shane up to the bike trail for a short walk and I can see that we're going to need to do all our walking earlier in the morning. If I left him to his own devices, we'd never leave the parking lot. He could sniff every plant, tree, rock or ? for what seems like forever. I could probably just park and set out a chair for myself with a 10 foot lead and he'd be thrilled.

Karen - you cracked me up with the mental image of Bugsy hiding from the frozen peas.

    He sounds too cute.

I think Luke is pulled for the next tournament, according to what my friend was saying, but I have to wait from the official word from the team on that. I don't mind. I can find him a spot on an open team. Apparently discussion was had between the people who combined into our team about leaving, separating back out,and taking Luke with. I'm all for that, and it will either be that, or I'll just take him completely to another team. Hopefully I can get a chance to chat with them without the others around.

*grin* for all the world it made me think of *me* and that magical (but somewhat 'sad' year) when I finally figured out that according to the Judy Garland movie, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion were apparently her aunt & uncle's hired hands and it was supposedly "all a dream"??

I got crushed except then I got mad because I had *read* the whole series a couple of years before and I KNEW that wasn't "what the book said!!"

Sometimes childhood is so complex!  LOL

My husband said to me "I can see why he was drawn to the football players but why NOT Miss Nelson nor the cheerleader.  I shot him a "duh" look and said "David -- don't be silly -- because they were ... ICK ... GIRLS!!!!!"

*chuckle* -- his mother was already saying "Yeah, in another 10-15 years I'll WISH he wasn't interested in girls!! "

I had a call today from the pool guy who told me that something or other isn't getting the power it should get and he thinks it has something to do with the solar panels/wiring.  I'm just going to have the electrician call him and they can discuss it together because nothing either one of them says makes a whole lot of sense to me. Electrical stuff is something I steer clear of.

Wow - we went from "pretty chilly for April" to "pretty hot for April" in a really short time, but at least the nights are cooling down nicely. Max is shedding even worse than usual.  You can rub his butt and wind up with literally a fist full of hair. A neighbor came by for awhile earlier today and sat on the sofa and when she got up, she was covered in hair.  I should have remembered to remind her to use one of the red chairs instead.  Max doesn't get on those. Smile

*grin* the other day David hauled the pet therapy wagon out of the back of the PT and just started to laugh.  I asked him what was so funny and he said "well apparently we have a PUG.  The side of the back where the wagon was is CLEAN.  However, the other side where the pug was?  HAIR-CITY.

Someday I should think about coordinating the color of dog hair with the color of the seats of the car ... But then, I'd have to think about what I wear?

     Nope -- won't work LOL
