The parade was shorter this year,46 entries,down from 61,one reason is no advertising on the floats so this left our hockey team the Clarington Eagles out,bands wore uniforms and so did the Air and Sea Cadets plus in another parade in Oshawa,west of here later that day their team the Generals wore their uniform tops while walking and a girls ringette team wore their uniform tops while riding on their float.Another reason is there a $500 entry which is way to high in my opinion .The central public School band was not in it as there has been a dispute  going with the teachers union and the provincial government and teachers were withholding their after school services so that left the band out of the parade.
