    Tues chat

This is the third sunday in a row I have had to get up at 7 and I am not happy about it. It doesn't help that I have a long drive and a boring meeting ahead of me. I can't wait for the weekend.

Rainy and dreary here. Well to top of the doorwall getting broken yesterday. Riley has the flu. DH was giving her lunch and walked out of the room for about 5 seconds and came back to a kitchen full of stomach upset. Even Charlie was grossed out I guess. She didn't go to school obviously and slept the rest of the afternoon. She spent the rest of the evening watching movies and at about 8:00 was hungry. Thank goodness that stayed down and only had a little fever before bed. I hope she's feeling better today since we have our big U of M appt. tomorrow and they are impossible to reschedule.

Lisa, I am sorry that Riley is sick. I hope she's well enough to go to the appt. at U of M tomorrow.

DS is 95% moved out!!!!! He slept at his new place last night. Thank doG!

Oh my.  Tyler went to the Bridge this morning.  I'll start a thread in Rainbow Bridge.  Totally unexpected as he's been fine, or acted like he was fine.

I have so much to do today, including a swearing in and luncheon for my boss that I really don't want to go to, but need to for his sake.  And, we're on deadline, and I have people to see, places to go, things to do.  Today is gonna just stink.

The only good news is that I managed to postpone todays jury duty 'til April.

    Sigh.

UGH! its like a steamy July morning here. Yesterday was cool and wet, woke up and couldn't see out of the windows, I was stunned when I went out for the paper, BLECH!! Its just repulsively wet and humid, storms and rain ahead. I wish I had trees to plant or something, perfect weather these days LOL

Julie I am such a poor sleeper that I am awake everyday by 6, its a curse

I need to take the cash cow, er I mean Bugsy, to the vet today. He has been messing with his butt since we got back from Mexico, I checked and his anal glands aren't full but now I think they might be infected. I'm guessing its a carryover from when we went away; the lack of exercise and zillions of treats my mom gave him. He doesn't have problems normally, oye.

    This is great enjoy CLICK

OH Glenda, I am so sorry. Run free Tyler.

Lisa, I'm sorry Riley is sick with the flu.  Hope she feels better soon and can make the appointment tomorrow.

Glenda, that's unreal to lose three dogs for no apparent reason.  Run free, Tyler.

Yesterday two school buses crashed head on and one of the drivers was killed.  The police think she may have had some sort of medical problem that caused the crash.  The kids were very traumatized. :(

How horrible for those children, and I'm so sorry about the drivers death.  Life is such a gift and we have to remember that each and every day.

Lisa so sorry Riley is sick, sending feel better vibes.

Jackie that is so sad about the school busses and those children.

    Glenda (hugs)

Tina....whooohooo!  Drinks A toast to you!

Started off by reading about Tyler and feeling sad for you Glenda.

I was baffled by Julie's reference to Sunday and had to check the title of the thread. Confused

Jackie - that's awful about the 2 busses crashing into each other and I can't begin to imagine what it must've been like for the children. Sad

Twister starts chemo this week, right? I'll be thinking good thoughts and saying prayers that he tolerates it well.

The girl that covers for me on Friday and Monday was out sick yesterday, so I had more than the usual amount of work waiting. Hoping to be able to take a breath before the day is over.

Apologies in advance for any typos.  I had an eye doc appointment this morning and my eyes are still pretty dilated.  Retinas checked out good so that's a relief.

Cathy, Twister's first chemo treatment is on Thursday.  I am nervous but hopeful that he has no severe side effects.  After numerous conversations with the oncologist and my new vet about it I feel fairly confident that he'll do ok and we may see some improvement with his bowel problems if the chemo shrinks the tumor.  He has gotten to hate leaving the office during the day because he knows it means a trip to the vet. Sad Poor guy is tired of all the poking, testing and such but he's always got a wiggle and kiss for all.  Such a sweet little terrorist.

I really really want to take a nap.

edited for the one typo I "saw". lol

Sad news in the chat today --- Glenda, I posted already in your thread about Tyler, and I'm thinking of you.  Jackie, the tragic bus accident story is awful.  I can't imagine what those poor kids are going through.  It's very sad the driver was killed, but thankfully no children were injured or worse.

On a much lighter note, as I drove in to work listening to the radio, they played a clip of the woman yelling at the bear on her porch, but it's even funnier to see it.  The weird thing is the title of the video refers to the woman as Nashanto.  I know someone by that name that lives in an area where lots of black bear are seen, and she kind of looks like that woman in the video!  I'm sure it's not her, but that made it extra funny to me, because the woman I know would probably do the same thing.  Yikes!

I woke up at 2AM and could NOT fall back to sleep.  I hate that.  I end up feeling like a rotisserie chicken.  I get into what feels like a comfy position on my side, thinking I'll drift off, then 15-20 minutes later that's not working, so I roll onto my back.  That seems super comfy, so I think NOW I'll fall back to sleep.  15-20 minutes later I roll to my other side, same story.  This continues, roll after roll, until DH's alarm goes off, which is about 5 minutes after I finally fall asleep.  So annoying!

     Glad your eyes are OK!

Twister I am sorry the vet has become so unpleasant for you - Bugsy has been showing the first signs of not wanting to go there either. He still kisses everyone but when they first come in the room he backs up onto me or onto the bench LOL.Makes me a bit sad as he always thought it was awesome. He still things the waiting area is a playroom - so much so we were sent to a clinical room today even though we weren't seeing a doc. Its a small waiting area and there was B, a 4 mo old pup, a gsp, and a lab. It was pure chaos and you know who was Captain Chaos :)

I am sure sending my best that the chemo is beneficial with no negative side effects

I have been fighting software today - why don't people actually attempt to use their online forms etc. If they did they might get them to work Angry

alright I have some lamb chops for dinner - they look like mini t-bones any recipe ideas???

No help here. I've never cooked them and always thought they looked so teensy that I'd need to buy 8 or 9 for DH and me. Embarrassed

Tracy - I do the exact same thing when I can't sleep. Soooo frustrating!!

I think today might be our last day at or near 100 degrees. I'll probably be complaining about the cold one day soon but it sounds super appealing right now.

Yet another reason why we need Deb - she'd have a recipe for you. Obviously I cannot replace her. Indifferent
