New here and a New Pup on the way

I'm Amanda, 26 and from Ohio.. I've had several dogs throughout my life. But am officially the owner of my first purebred Australian Shepherd pup. He won't be ready til Sept, but I get updated pictures all the time Figured I'd post some now and share! He was born July 8th.

I'm still thinking about names, so any thoughts or ideas would be awesome! I think he looks like a pirate with that a black patch over his eye! So excited can't wait til he gets here! Sept is way too far away.

My thoughts for names so far:

Cooper, Jackson (Jax), Havoc, & McKai - all thoughts and suggestions are welcome!

Oh my gosh what a little treasure! All my dogs are rescues, arrived here as adults, so I LOVE seeing photos of puppies! THANK YOU!

Do you plan to be in a sport with your dog? Agility or Herding for instance? They are great at most anything you turn your mind to!

I wait to see personality before choosing names.

Welcome to the forum. I got my aussie puppy, Ribbon, last December.. Your little guy is adorable and has some great markings. He should be a very striking adult. Keep us posted with updates and pics.

I'm a runner, so planning on at least running with him.. Thinking about agility since he has that in his background. That is why I haven't decided on anything about a name quite yet, I wanna see his personality, but 4 weeks is a long time to not think of stuff. I even went to the pet store today just looking at stuff.. I honestly can't wait!

Awww he is so cute, love the markings. I remember when we got to anxiously await the arrival of Ribbon now a new puppy to look forward to seeing more of. Welcome to the forum and keep those pictures coming.

I know I was a ball of nerves waiting for my boy. LOL I had a mile long list of names and in the end he got a name that wasn't on the list. Hehehehe..

Amanda he is simply gorgeous! I am excited for you! I love his markings! I hope that August will fly by for you. I know you must be anxious to bring him home :-). I am new here also. I just joined yesterday. I look forward to seeing more pictures of your fur baby. And reading your post. Donna

I know I've already taken half of those names off the list! I have one certain one in mind, but not spoiling it quite yet, just in case he doesn't fit into that name. But knowing my luck I'll see him and nothing fits!

Thank you and I think so too! I'm hoping it does too, Sept 7th seems so far away. and Welcome! You'll start to love the people around here :D I'm anticipating new pix everday, I'll share as soon as I get some more!

Hey Donna! Thanks for asking.. He's getting so big already. I added a few pix on the pictures page but she hasn't been sending me anything but videos lately. (not complaining) I get to see his feisty little personality.

I'm thinking I'm going with the name Gryffin unless it doesn't fit, but I think from what I've seen so far it does.

If there are any Harry Potter people you'll get it since he has a little lightning bolt on his nose :D

I am way excited, starting to get the little things for him, I picked such a great time of year to get a puppy with garage sales!

Don't worry I'm a picture person as soon as he is in my arms there will be tons..

Wow he's growing fast! Good sign :-). He is adorable! I like the name Gryffin. Especially the unique way your spelling it. I always like to try and put a twist on names :-). I'll keep looking back for up dated pictures!
