Finally Friday

 Morning! I thought I would check the forums while waiting for Janice in the shower. We are off to find breakfast, an atm (everything is SO expensive here, the same or more than the US) then I'm going scuba diving. yay! We are having a blast and all get along great. Candace, Heather and Janice are going to explore a different island today while I go diving then tonight I think we are going to go night snorkeling to see all the octopus, squid and bio-luminescent ocean critters. It is supposed to be pretty cool. I am sunburned pretty bad in places I missed with sunscreen and it hurts like hell. The sun here is crazy hot. 1 hour out without sunscreen and you are fried. We are all wearing 50 and 60 spf and still getting pretty tanned.

You must have missed the memo about taking equator-strength sunscreen.  LOL

Jackie will probably be along with an update, though I know she got to take Twister home last night and he's doing okay.

My DS told me last night he is moving out at the end of August. He's going to live 3 blocks away with a friend who is only charging him $250/month. I love him dearly, but it is time. I get a little tired of him assuming that just because something is in the house, he has a right to help himself to it.

I'm going to enjoy a 3-day weekend. The track is closed this weekend due to the county fair and I am taking Monday off my regular job. So far tentative plans include catching up on crap around the house and then Monday I'm getting a massage. DS is also off this weekend and seemed to think we should do something together. Yeah, right.

ETA: Karen, no storms in mid-Michigan last night. Today, though, methinks.

This has been a really shitty week.  Mayday collapsed last night.  Discovered lung cancer. Abdominal ultrasound this morning reveals lungs might not be the source.  She will probably be put down today.

Oh no, poor Mayday!!!  Rest easy sweetie.

TGIF.  Meeting our new big boss today so I am trying to be on my best behavior.  Kind of sluggish since the weather is like soooo icky (91% of humidty).  It better rain soon or there isn't going to enough room in my office for me and my hair.

We have NOTHING planned today or this weekend so you would like I would get alot done around the house.  Probably not.

(((Paige))) - I'm so very sorry to read the news about Mayday. Cancer sucks!!!!!!!!!

I woke up with a headache and feeling generally crummy but since I only work 1/2 days on Fridays, decided to come on in. I really need to get some stuff sorted out for shredding before they come next Thursday, so maybe I'll try to focus on that.

Is anyone else excited about the Olympics starting tonight?

The Belize pictures are amazing. :)  Julie and the others swimming with sharks and barracudas!  Braver than me. lol  I'll swim with Dori but not the predators with big teeth.

Twister's doing pretty good this morning.  He has an appointment in a little while to have the IV fluid catheter out.  Since he's peeing (fingers crossed that he continues to pee) they don't have to put the bladder catheter back in. 

Hope those who need rain get some and those with too many storms get a break.
