Woke up to snow on the ground.  Zoe refused to walk outside because she knew something was wrong with this picture. ;)

I just found out I work with a relative of one of my ex-boyfriends.  Good thing she won't be here too much longer and that she doesn't know about it.  She would be fascinated by asking me questions, I'm quite sure.  She's that kind of dodo head.  Nice lady, and as I told my BFF, it would be sooo much easier to be stupid because you can be nice all the time!

Here you go, Glenda.  The etymology of the word Wednesday: Wednesday O.E. Wodnesdæg "Woden's day," a Germanic loan-translation of L. dies Mercurii "day of Mercury" (cf. O.N. Oðinsdagr, Swed. Onsdag, O.Fris. Wonsdei, M.Du. Wudensdach). For Woden, see Odin. Contracted pronunciation is recorded from 15c. The Odin-based name is missing in German (mittwoch, from O.H.G. mittwocha, lit. "mid-week";), probably by influence of Gothic, which seems to have adopted a pure ecclesiastical (i.e. non-astrological) week from Greek missionaries. The Gothic model also seems to be the source of Pol. środa, Rus. sreda "Wednesday," lit. "middle."

Not happy with Mother Nature.  Tease me with an 80 degree week last week, just to dump snow on us today!  Ari, on the other hand, thinks snow is the bees knees.  She happily rolled around this morning in it.  Weird dog.

The boss called at 9 last night to see if we can meet early this morning. Oy. Mornings are so hard for me. As a side note, I find myself approving things I am not so comfortable with a lot in this job. I have a feeling I am going to have to get used to this. Not everything can be perfect I guess (difficult concept for me).

It is fairly warm here this morning. Humid. And my sinuses and nose are all swollen because of all these major temp changes.

This training class I am in is like being in college again. Lots of equations and calculations and figuring out units blah blah blah. I get juiced doing calculations. nerd I am a nerd. 1 problem we did this morning was 2 pages of calcs. Today should be more fun than the boring lecture yesterday.

    What she said^^

I've been hanging out in the background lately but thought I would pop in to say Hi!  Munchkin and I are doing well, bit over 6 weeks to go.  March was super busy with childbirth class and baby showers and the like but April should be much calmer.  Our weather has been just as crazy as the rest of yours but we're back into spring and 50s which is nice.  Too bad I can't get outside to play in my garden... it's a bit tough when you can't bend over!  :)

I'm hanging around inPanera this morning, because I was asked to work today instead of Sunday. Of course, I offered way too much flexibility in my time, and said btw 8:30-2:00 was okay, but preferably early. And of course, they ask for the latest possible block. So, here I am, biding my time until 10:30. Oh well. At least on Sunday, I won't have to race around to leave Flyball, take the dogs home, and go out to see this kid. I guess it's my fault though, I should have just said 9:00, since I know they have to be up to get their other kids to school.

CRAZINESS!  How could it be so soon?!  Amazing!!  You're gonna be a momma so soon!!!

(I spent way too much time this week watching that TV show "16 and Pregnant" ... just cannot imagine how naive these girls are on how things will work out spontaneously.  It's so sad to see the ones in really tough family environments, too.)

I get to teach more competition prep classes - hooray!  Excited for that!

I'm so excited!!!!  Big Smile  I've been waiting and waiting for our car wholesaler guy to find me a new, used, Expedition.  He was very sick for a while so I didn't push him.  He called me about one he saw at the auction to see if I was interested.  After he described it, I said YES!  I don't know what the price will be but he's never let me down in all the years we've been buying vehicles through him.  I've got all my fingers and toes crossed that he gets me a good deal.

This couldn't have been better timing as we just got good news about DH's job situation yesterday. :)  Color me happy.

Yea for Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Wink

Nicole cant believe it's only 6 more weeks....

ETA: OMG I forgot to say.....  Good luck with your first day at new job!!!!

Beautiful weather here,  weird day though, not bad just weird.

Jackie - congrats on the new(ish) wheels and the news on your hubby's job. Party!!!

Nicole - I keep saying this but I am soooo excited for you. I hope you'll still be a frequent visitor here once you have the baby.

My head feels foggy this morning and the continuing rain isn't helping. I drove in with a firm grip on the steering wheel and prayed for no deep puddles of water. A few times it poured so hard that I had to slow down to like 25 mph until it passed. I think it tapers off this afternoon and hopefully we'll get a few days to dry out.

I thought we were off on Monday for Cesar Chavez day but I was looking at next year's calendar. We're actually off this Friday, so this is going to be a super short week - wheee..Big Smile

I must have jinxed the deal by celebrating too soon. Sad He just called and said it sold at auction for more than he knows I want to pay.  Oh well.  I'm patient and I know it's just a matter of time before he finds the right vehicle for the right price.

Nicole, I can't wait till your munchkin arrives but I bet you're even more excited. lol  I can't believe that it's only six more weeks.

Am actually beginning to feel human -- I'm going to go back to work at least part time tomorrow.  I've been working from home all week and I SOOOOOOO ***HATE**** IT.  I am just not one of those folks who ever wants to work from home.  It's worked while I've been ill, but ugh ... I don't want to "live" my work.

Jackie -- that rocks.  I hate car shopping anyway, and to have someone look out for the perfect vehicle for you?  RAH!!

Nicole -- I'm with everyone else -- you can't be "that pregnant" already LOL -- it always makes me laugh.  Back when I was in college (a millenia ago) my dorm director was pregnant.  A male friend of mine made the comment one day "Wow -- she sure looks a lot more pregnanter now than last week".

That was when the dorm director and I tried to explain .... "No Charlie -- once you're pregnant you ARE pregnant.  You become "further along" but what's in there is IN there -- til it's ready to come out.  You don't get "more" pregnant ... er .... "

A friend of mine I went to college with and I both still laugh ...

My good thots & prayers to Caleine, her family, the baby and Thor.  I had a message email via FB this morning - -she lost her Father last weekend and now it looks like some really serious iffy stuff for Thor.

And for you weather folks -- remember, this is March.  It comes in like a lamb and out like a lion!  ugh
