Doggy Smell?

• Candice Sparrow Posted : 7/14/2006 12:14:22 PM Hi everyone, sorry  I'm not a doggy owner YET!!! sorry for butting in but my parents have a shitzu they claim their dog doesn't smell also they bath him regularly, very healthy dog but when I do go to their house to visit there I could smell him and so do other people when they go to visit also, my parents keep claiming their dog is clean and their house doesn't smell. I think most people are just use to their dog smell and don't realize that they do have an odor. • probe1957 Posted : 7/14/2006 12:34:44 PM I wonder if you are bathing him too often.  Odie smells worse a day or two after he gets a bath than he ever did before he got one.  He seldom gets a bath.  Only when I take him to the groomers, every few months.  Not even that in the winter.  Of course, I feed him a quality food too.   I do brush him everyday and will sometimes spray him with Plush Puppy. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Candice Sparrow Posted : 7/14/2006 1:22:02 PM Sorry i wasn't saying everyone elses house was like that, I was just putting my two cents in about my mom and dad, my parents are total clean freeks, I mean total clean freeks!!! so that's why they keep saying there is no dog smell, they just had their new house built about half a year ago and when you walk into their house you could smell him, he is really old now, 12 years old! he sleeps in their bedroom, he is totally my mom's little baby!!! [] I just cant wait to have a dog of my own!!!! I'm checking on two different breeds and looking up breeders....!!!
