Thursday Chat - anybody want to open the Tiki Bar early?

Maybe it's just me, but I tend to think those goofy nursing covers make it even more obvious that a person is breastfeeding than not using said goofy cover. I mean, you can't see it, but everyone knows that no one wears something like that unless for that purpose. The other thing is, why should a baby have to eat with a cover on his head. Babies eating a bottle don't eat with covers on their heads, so why should a breast fed baby eat with a cover on his head? really little babies probably don't care one way or another, but after a few months they might start to care. I don't get what the big deal is anyway. If you're out somewhere, there's bound to be someone who is showing off more than the tiny bit of a show you might get if you're some sort of weirdo who stares at someone breastfeeding. If you don't like it, well you sniff glue, or get up and go somewhere else. I bet you're probably disgusting in your own special way too.

That was a nice break from studying. Now I'm getting back to work because I'm earning ice cream when I finish.

Oh, before I get back to work, I almost hit two dogs this morning. The neighborhood I was working in, everyone seems to have e-fences, or just lets their dogs out unsupervised, I don't know. Really, it's usually just me and the buses most of the time when I'm there in the morning, but still, it's me and the buses, and it's a shock I haven't hit one yet.  Anyway, I was leaving and heading to the library. As I pulled around a corner, I saw a dog in the road, just slowly crossing the street.  He crossed, so I started to go again. Then, out comes a very fat tri color Cavalier into the road. He proceeds to cross too. I opened my car door to see if either would come over, but no luck. There's usually one out wandering when I get there at my usual time (7AM), on a different street. I really need to start carrying food, because if I see the same dogs again, they're getting picked up and dropped off at the local shelter. I'm not  even bothering to return dogs (they did have collars) to idiots who let their dogs roam the neighborhood. If they give even half a damn, they'll go pick them up. If they don't go pick them up, well, they're better off there than hit by a car.
