I can't help you either way. I've been to the shelter two times, several months apart. Each time I've been there, I've seen pure Sibes and Sibe-mixes. Through a herculean effort of will, I did not come home with another one. Then, thanks to my wife and one of her bosses, we now have a cat. I even took Shadow for a walk over there, half-expecting to not like her. Be danged if they didn't hit it off. Took him back home and went back to get the cat, at my wife's urging. I figured, as soon as she invades his territory, he'll chase her somewhere hard to get to, I'll have to put him in the yard, dig the kitty out and take her back. Other than one fight, they've been getting along. Sometimes snuggling, sometimes chasing, mostly just co-existing. Be careful, this could happen to you.

Well, I'm off work tomorrow afternoon. Plenty of time to go down there and check things out.

I just need to figure out some way of convincing BF. My birthday is next month, surely I can tie that in somehow.

[] No go. I tried everything to talk BF into it. We're just from different worlds, he grew up with one outside dog, I grew up with six inside. Three in the house is his absolute limit.

I hope this guy gets an awesome forever home. And I really hope the rescue is a little more careful with him then their normal procedure. They're good people, they just don't have time or resources to check references or do home visits. []

Sorry it didn't work out for you. He looks like a beautiful boy. Sounds perfect. I think someone needs to block petfinder from my computer too. I'm forever browsing it, wishing for all these perfect dogs. Grrr, if only!
