Morning after chat

You guys will not even believe this  . . . . . decorating, shopping, cooking, cleaning, Mike being sick, Kate's car being hit                        .....    I finally thought I was done and would  be able to enjoy Christmas.   We are on my way to my brother's house on Christmas Eve and guess what ....  a freaking deer runs out of the woods right into our car.  Now Mike's car is out of service along with Kate's.   The worst part of the whole night is that when I walked into my brother's house, with all his neighbors and work colleagues, etc., my father stands up (not knowing what happened) and says "Hi SweetHeart" and I immediately burst into tears.

No the really worst part of this whole thing is the look on that stupid deer's face which I will take to the grave with me.

    Here's to a much happier 2012 !!!!!!

Awwwww Deb, I'm so sorry. You definitely had more than your fair share of crap happening these last few weeks. I know it may not help a lot but it truly is a blessing that no one was hurt in either of those car accidents. Well, no one other than the dumb deer :'(. I hope the new year will be better all around for you guys.

Did you all know McDonald's still has frozen strawberry lemonade in December? *spikes one and passes it to Deb*
    • Gold Top Dog

Awww Deb.  S*it does happen, but sounds like you've got a herd of elephants s*itting down on you and yours.  (((hugs))).  And, yes, what a blessing that no one was injured, other than Bambi of course.

It is 3PM.  Both of my guys are still in jammies and robes.  Seriously????

    • Gold Top Dog
Deb, that really sucks :( I'm sorry the world seems fit to crap on you lately *hugs*

I am amazed at the difference in the amt of crap the dogs expel when eating cannidae vs earthborne. That was a stupid amount of dog poop. I am going to have to find a new food.

Abbie is way over anxious lately and I'm not sure why. She is (anxiety) whining over everything and super alert. This is how she used to be prior to starting our whole behavior modification program.

Oh, Deb, how scary for you. I'm glad you and yours are OK. (((hugs)))

     ((Deb))

What is with all the new people on this forum posting one-liners in broken English?

    • Gold Top Dog
I was wondering something similar. Lots of old posts resurrected with 3 word sentences that barely make sense

Shucks, Deb, I am sorry about this latest bad event in the long string of them you've had but.............did you collect the deer ?

Karen - Happy to see Bugsy is almost back to 100% and had a good reunion with a long lost friend. Good luck for your interview tomorrow. You did wake up the two snorers, did you not ? Have a good time with your family tomorrow.

I hope those completely off-topic and nonsensical one-liners will stop soon.

We did the weekly grocery shopping today and both Wally World and Target were very quiet. Best Buy was more busy with a long line at the registers but since I did not find anything to buy, I did not care.Grey, coldish, and rainy day today here. We finally could walk around 4 pm so the girls were satisfied. We are still eating the leftovers of Xmas eve food. It was yummy but three days in a row... well, whatever is left today goes to the trash. We very possibly have squirrels in the attic of the detached work/storage building. We are going to put naphtalene up there to make them go away before DH fixes the hole they came thru; I hope it works for their sake and ours (those critters can do a lot of damage).

well one will because they no longer exist

    bwa hahahahaha

    • Gold Top Dog

Gee, I miss all the nonsensical stuff.

Our Christmas dinner is always, without fail, rare roast beef, baked taters, baby carrots and green beans.....tonight we had beef veggie soup from those leftovers with some rice pilaf (leftover) tossed in.  The hubs actually likes soups like that, but not the thick and hearty ones.  No accounting for tastes I guess.

Decisions, decisions.  I'm debating taking a pain pill and not hurting but getting hyper from it, or not taking a pain pill, suffering and maybe downing a glass or two of wine to kill the pain.  Hmmmmmm.

    • Gold Top Dog

Glenda, do you think that taking a pain pill with some wine would counteract the hyperness?

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh yeah it would....I'm just not sure that it's the best idea to mix vicodin with booze!

    • Gold Top Dog

I think that Christmas is as commercial as you allow it to be.

    ((((Deb))))

We had a great, quiet, Christmas. I am so thankful to have great family & friends.

I crated a kid over Thanksgiving. The mother wouldn't watch him, & after he grabbed the deviled eggs & threw them at Cher's crate, I decided that I had two options. Crating was the kinder of the two... His mother was not impressed, & left before the meal was served. The rest of our guests were thrilled to see them leave. I don't do bad behavior, be it my kids, my dogs or someone else's. I just don't tolerate it.

DH, Bev, Cher & I went shopping today. We found some good deals, & had a fun day together. Cher & Bev were thrilled at the long line at JC Penny. There were little kids in line behind us, so Bev was OMGHAPPY. Cher really liked the guy in front of us. Cher being excited by a guy usually leads to a nosepunch to the groin, so she & I worked on focus while we were waiting.

((hugs)) and Rupey nuzzles for Deb.

lol Amanda! Throwing deviled eggs is not cool.

I'm still coughing up my lungs. It's so frustrating. Cough syrup doesn't help because it's not my throat, it's all in my lungs. Ugh.

I had a pretty productive day - swept, vacuumed, emptied the dishwasher, did two loads of laundry, brought three boxes of toys and clothes to the thrift shop, went to a chiropractor appointment. I still have a ton more cleaning to do this week. My sister and her family are coming to visit. They're staying with my mom on Thursday, then with us on Friday and Saturday. It's going to be a zoo!
