Does this seem strange or is it just me?

It's a scam...I was told at work that anytime there are letter reversals like that it is a scam and do not go through with it! I want that dog in a good home too!

The e-mail was deleted along with the one asking if there was any body damage on it.  Crazy people.  Never thought people would do things like this.  So far I got 2 that seem good but still have to meet with them and all.  I still have to go pick him up this weekend and all.  I feel so bad for him from what she says they won't let him in the house anymore and he looks scared all the time except when she comes to see him.  I know my parents would never do this they would say if you can't keep him we will take him and love him like they love their dogs.  My mom tells me all the time she would take Pugsly.   Have to tell her no because i could never part with my pug but it's good to know he has a place to go that loves him if something ever happened.

I had one of these scammers try to contact me yesterday! I got a phone call from an operator that said she worked for an internet phone relay service and that she was translating a call for someone that was hearing impaired and sending her messages through her computer. Well I never heard of one of these services but it made sense to me that someone hearing impaired could make phone calls this way. I was driving my car at the time and couldn't hear the lady very well. I asked her if the caller had an email address. She gave me the address and I told her to relay to the man that I would email him when I got home. When I emailed him about my pups being sold, his reply was in TERRIBLE english and he kept referring to the pup as an ITEM. I then googled his emil address and the first hit I got for it was on a scam list in Nigeria.  These people are out to get your money and will send you bogus cashiers checks like someone above has stated. Most of these people are from Africa but will tell you they live in London. I will now delete anything that looks fishy. If you keep in correspondance with these people and tick them off, they will send a virus to your computer which is what this guy did when I told him that my pups all had homes. BE REALLY CAREFUL WITH THESE GUYS!!!!

The dog is a 1 year old neutered Doberman.  I think I've finally found a home for him tho.  I just spoke on the phone with a man that said he had a mild stroke and is now unable to go to work.  He said he had a doberman for about 14 years and then it passed away.  He is now looking for another companion.  He also does work with the aspca.  So I believe I have found this pup a home.

You probably already have your answer, but i have seen that almost exact same email in response to a property i put up for rent.  They just changed some of the words to relate it to your pet.  These scams are being done all over the world.
