Callie, I got my first pair of glasses at age eight.  I was amazed to realize that I could see indiviual leaves on the trees instead of just one big green blob.  :)

Gin, I wish I could help with the transport and hope someone in that area can do that last leg for Goliath.

Deb your pushing me on that one - don't know though, these are very good fries that have garlic sauted in olive oil poured over them so its real garlic and decent size chunks of it. Your whole body smells like garlic for 24 hrs LOL so not for the timid Stick out tongue

BTW I put a post on your FB wall

ETA: Glenda, body temperature has little to do with weight.  More often than not, it is a circulation issue.

Hm, I didn't know that. I've always been skinny and I'm ALWAYS cold. DH is the opposite.

    Fritters? Yes please.

I really need to get started on my Christmas cards. I got the idog ones out but now I need to get out the rest.

Just got off the phone with AT&T - been cell customers for literally ever - Cingular before them and Ameritech before them and we are Uverse customers.  Talked to them to see if there was anything they could do to lower my bill...I am excited to say they found $25 per month worth of discounts for us.  Whoo Hoo!  That's $300 a year - think I justified buying a new pair of shoes!

Deb, are you planning to make those fritters any time soon?  Cuz a lot of us have your address and can google directions. A lady I see at the gym was discreetly asking people today if they ate suger, and if they answered "yes" which I did, they got a little bag of homemade fudge.  That's what I had for breakfast today - fudge in the car and then snagged a little cup of coffee at Trader Joe's. Chocolate and caffeine - what a combo.

I went until my junior year of high school before realizing I needed glasses. Smile I thought it was normal not be able to see the blackboard unless you were right in front and I had no idea you were supposed to be able to read the numbers on the football players uniforms from the stands. Indifferent

Johnny, I'm sure you'd enjoy an earthquake.  They're actually kind of fun.  You don't really feel movement at all ... you just feel lightheaded and disoriented, almost like you're going to faint ... then you realize the hanging plants are swinging and cans are falling out of the kitchen cabinets so you know that it isn't you.

The wind finally died down ... it's sunny and breezy outside.  I felt really sorry for that poor woman I saw on the news.  I think she was somewhere in Southern CA. A huge tree fell on her house and cut it completely in half. Luckily nobody was killed and I hope she has good insurance coverage.

This was the first thing I noticed when I walked outside with my new glasses. I didnt think you could SEE each and every leaf

Speaking of french fries...we bought a new mandalin (sp?) and have been cutting potatoes in to french fries and potato chips. The potato chips have come out so great tasting that we have people requesting them! I told Chris we should have thought of this YEARS ago! We have tried making salt and pepper, cajun, salt and vinegar and next on to BBQ!

Hmm, do you think Deb just tells herself it is an earthquake and not the vodka?  Stick out tongue

Every time I see one of those, I cringe. I would surely cut one of my fingers off if I tried to use it.

I put a frozen lasagna thing in the microwave for lunch awhile ago. I went about doing some work and then heard a sizzling, popping sound and realized it'd been cooking longer than usual. I went to the microwave and there was 33 minutes left on it. It only takes 5 minutes to cook these little things, so I'm guessing I must've hit 50 instead of 5. Needless to say, I had a bit of a mess to clean up Embarrassed

lol Cathy! I hope it was still edible.

Just about half way through addressing cards... just taking a quick break. Smile

I think it's going to be a curl up on the couch and read weekend here.  It's turned all drizzly and dreary.  Not complaining since we need any moisture we can get but I don't plan to get out unless I have to.  I do dread the muddy dog feet clean up X 4 which is 16 muddy feet ten thousand times a day.  OK, I exaggerate but it seems that way sometimes. lol  Too bad I can't play the "not supposed to bend over because of my eye surgery" card anymore. I need a dog nanny. lol

Joyce, your breakfast sounds almost as good as those fritters Deb teased us with and much easier too. :)
