I can't imagine life without a DVR anymore.

    Me too!

Me three!  I get so frustrated watching "live" TV now -- I hate sitting through commercials.  And I love being able to watch things when I have time, not just when the show is normally scheduled.

I watch too much TV.  My rule is that I can't add a new show to my line-up unless another one is eliminated (goes off the air or I stop watching).  Since Rescue Me ended this year, I had "room" for a new hour show, so we record Grimm.  It's nowhere near as good as Rescue Me was, but it's a show both DH and I like, which is hard to find!

Some of my favorites:  The Office, 30 Rock, House, Glee, Louie, Daily Show, and Psych.  I record Charlie Rose everyday and watch only the interviews I'm interested in.  I also love most anything on PBS's Masterpiece Mystery or Masterpiece Contemporary.  I hear about shows I think I'd love that are on HBO, but we don't get that, so I'll catch those on netflix or something someday.  We also watch a lot of football and HGTV and Food Network, but I usually multi-task while that stuff is on.

My biggest TV complaint is that too often a really great show starts, but it doesn't draw huge ratings right away, and the network cancels it before it has a chance.  I could name so many shows I've loved that have been axed too soon (Freaks and Geeks, Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, Lucky, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Sports Night)

I'm totally addicted to ABC's Revenge on Wednesday nights.

Me too!! I honestly can't get enough of it and worry that they're going to run out of bad people in the show.

I have a long list - The Good Wife, Greys, Private Practice, Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, Grimm (thank you Gina!), Fringe, Mentalist and for comedy, we love The Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly and a few others. I can't imagine life without a DVR anymore.

This is pretty much my list too, and I love Grimm and Once Upon a Time ... similar but different. Tracy, I agree.  They don't give new shows much of a chance to build up a following. If they don't come out of the starting gate with 50 million viewers the first time, they cancel them after a couple of weeks.

I have to say I love the way they handled Charlie Sheen's exit from "Two and a Half Men".  I don't think that show suffered a bit.

I don't do cable so I download what shows I want to watch. And I don't have to wait each week! Lol.

On that note, I watch Dexter, Bones, House, Hoarders (Makes me feel better about my dog gear piles.. Lol) Ummmm... Law and Order CI and SVU when I get a chance.

I'm not big on TV anymore but sometimes there's a documentary I wouldn't mind catching.

Harry, Revenge, The Good wife, Once upon a time, House and Dancing with The Stars. All good shows.

I confess I mostly watch sports..............sadly DH doesn't like watching most sports LOL

Bones, The Good Wife, Top Gear (UK show), are the only current series I record if I can't watch.  The rest is just opportunistic: HGTV, Travel Channel (Anthony Bordain), Food Network, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, L&O, Rizzoli & Isles.  I don't really tend to WATCH TV, its a background thing for me

There was a show a few years back that I really liked and then it just went away......I even went on line to see when it was going to start a new season and it was just gone.  Of course my "CRS" is kickin in so I cant remeber the name right now.  It was about finding the families and solving the deaths of the Jane and John Doe's.

You guys have mentioned some shows I have not see or heard of so thanks alot :) now my DVR list is gonna get bigger Wink

I'm waiting for Comcast to give us the option of taping 4 things at a time like AT&T does. This is all part of the reason that I never know what day it is anymore.  I used to be able to figure it out by remembering what I watched the night before but when you watch them on different days, it totally screws up the week.

My newest favorite is The Incredible Dr Pol on NatGeo Wild on Saturday night.

Small world - Dr. Pol is a vet in my community.  I don't use him, but he does a lot for our animal shelter.

LOL  Me, too, Joyce.  Now I have to revert to what I did the night before- Monday is volleyball, Tuesday nosework and Thursday Rally.

I was flipping thru channels last night since I couldn't sleep and caught the last few minutes of this show.  Dog that was a biter and couldn't be handled and was so matted the hair had cut into a leg.  I was furious at the owners.  Got myself worked up thinking about it and made getting to sleep even harder.

That's cool, Tina!  He seems like the type people either love or hate.  Very old school, no nonsense.

I saw that one too, Jackie.  You might of missed it, there was one part where he was showing the owners daughter(thats who brought him in) the huge mats.  And, she touched it and said, "is that BONE?"  But, he does a lot of really neat stuff.  Stuff I don't get exposed to much like large animals.

Well, I only have basic (local) cable so my selections are limited.

My current favs are The Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead, Terra Nova, Once Upon a Time, NCIS LA, and although I've only seen one episode I think Grimm is gonna be great.  My old fav use to be Stargate but they cancelled it!  Sad

    BUT, usually SPORTS trumps all!

I still love my Grey's Anatomy, Dancing with the Stars, and Castle. I used to like Private Practice, but I stopped watching it during the big Violet drama (they should have totally killed her when she got stabbed). It's much better now, but I've never been able to pick up with that again. I love that the website TVFanatic puts a Violet Annoyance Scale in the review for each episode. Actually, pretty much everyone on the show annoys me right now except for Amelia.

I also like Storage Wars, the Middle, and Modern Family, but I usually miss them, and I don't like them enough to catch up with them online.

I absolutely hate Last Man Standing, and Mike & Molly (sorry whoever said you like it, but honestly, the premise of the show is that they met in Over Eaters Anonymous, and the people are not actually funny).
