Secret Santa, 2011

Yayyy, Santa came!

 Thanks, Pirate and Wendy!

Rascal got some of his favorite things: a BLANKET. that is SOFT. and FUZZY. oh, happy day. He also got some awesome dog biscuit mix with an adorable bone-shaped cookie cutter, and two fuzzy, Rascal-sized squeakies. Joy! Mom got some really tasty peppermint Ghiradelli squares, so we are all just thrilled!

Well, except for Rascal's cousin, Priam, who wasn't allowed to share his blanket....

Just kidding. Priam wasn't allowed to share the blanket, but he has been getting PLENTY of other toys/treats, so don't let the hang-dog look fool you. There's no dog abuse here.

 Yay! It has arrived. Luke says thanks Amanda and the gang (his sisters are out, and so they don't know about it yet).

Luke jumped right into the box

and searched and searched until he found just the perfect thing

(yes, I did take the treats out first, which they will all love, didn't want anyone jumping in and choosing that to play with). 

Luke basically took off and ran right over to the couch as soon as he got his mouth on it and discovered it had a working squeaker. He's using them for fly ball, so I broke the squeakers in his other ones and tied them to strings. He really, really, really loves cuz balls, maybe even more than he likes tennis balls. Actually, I guess he does like them more, because there were little air kong tennis balls in there, and he bypassed them for the cuz ball. Luke is in squeaker heaven already, and he hasn't even checked out the rest of the presents. In the spirit of Christmas, I'm going to let it keep it's squeaker, for now. I might murder them too and tie them to strings, and see how he likes the idea of like, 5 little cuz balls bouncing around going crazy in the run back area.

Luke dug in again...

This time, he took the tennis balls. Then he took the other cuz ball. He just keeps running back and forth, taking things from the box, and adding them to his stash. He's got all the tennis balls, the blue cuz ball (he took the other one downstairs earlier) the two little stuffies, the hedgehog,  and now he took out the pig and is running around whipping it around. Actually, he couldn't get make it squeak, so he's back to the cow. He just got done running around with the floppy leg cow, swinging it around.  He's in squeaker heaven. He'll probably bring that cuz ball to bed tonight to hide it from them, and the wrecking crew (mostly Callie, but Pigeon will help) will have at the stuffies when he's gone.

YAY!!  I'm glad that it made it in time!

She's settled into Luke's stash and started checking everything out. She's playing with the blue cuz now, and he's staring at her, looking very concerned. Not that he is lacking in cuz balls, but he doesn't have any blue ones. I'll be really shocked if he doesn't  take it and run away with it later. Pigeon is still looking at them like they're complete lunatics. 

Rupert opened his two other presents from Charlie and loved them! He kept bringing the bone one to me to throw and he'd zoom through all the mess of wrapping paper, toys, and kids. The teddy bear is really good for squeakin'! I got a few pics I'll post later.

And I got a super funny calendar!! I needed one for my office and this is perfect. Usually I wait until after the new year and get an ugly one for 50% off. This year I can get birthdays and events transferred in early! Thanks again Lisa!!

I really tried to get pictures, but the kids were absolutely insane this morning.  so......they got great stuffies, balls and bully stix!  Oh, and mom tossed in some knuckle bones.

The kids say THANK YOU very much to Stef and Cathy.  And, I absolutely love the chocolates!
