     Ouch Ron.

So, Monday I went and got lots of allergy testing, and got some new allergy prescriptions. $300 worth of prescriptions (ouch, glad I have insurance, or I wouldn't have gotten any of it). Anyway, all of a sudden, I realized my TV sounded super loud earlier. Then I realized, that after 5 years of my right ear feeling constantly congested, it didn't. That was why the TV sounded loud. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy about this.

I bet your doctor will feel glad for you, too!  Knowing they're on the right path to alleviate your ailments!  YAY!

Glad to hear Karen is ok/safe.  Scary that the tornadoe was only 1/4 mile away!

Paige they have opened a spay/neuter clinic, brand new build, with previous years money. I'm sure that a lot of this goes to the running of that facility. Fees range from $5 for a few low income zip codes, $30-35 for cats and $50 -$65 for dogs.  They also do a lot for other rescues taking on the animals most in need and have been working with some of NC's most disastrous shelters.  We were talking with the chief exec and she still gives it a mom & pop small rescue feel.  Even she is astounded that 5 yrs ago they would raise about $30k and are now $230k+.

Awesome awesome awesome!!!!  I LOVE THIS!!!!!!

Glad you all were safe at home when the tornadoe came through.  Scary scary stuff!

I had a great day today but I'm feeling a little guilty. This morning DH's buddies came over to play music (DH plays bass.) He asked me if my mom was around so I could take the kids and go hang out with her. But she was volunteering at the local public radio station's pledge drive. He wrote me a check for $150 and told me to take the kids and go shopping or something for 3 hours. Smile I was like, woohoo!

So we went to the bakery first. Willa picked out a chick-shaped cookie and chocolate milk. After that we went to a local toy store, which I actually have never been in before, but it was super cute. Willa got a kid-sized broom, a kazoo and a piece of candy. Sonja got a ball-popper toy. Next we went to Kohl's. I really wanted to get a pair of jeans, but they didn't have any in tall sizes. Angry I also really need new bras but that's impossible to shop for with the kids. I looked through the kids' clothes but really they have enough and I didn't see anything worth buying. So then we ended up going through the toy department... and spending more money. I had to pick up a few things at the grocery store, then I picked up lunch at Burger King. I ended up with $30 left...

I got home and DH asked me if I bought a wireless router. I was like... um... no... I pretty much spent it all on toys... as I waded through the foot-deep layer of toys on the living room floor. Embarrassed I guess I was under the impression to just have fun with the kids and keep them entertained, not to actually use my brain and buy something needed and practical. Embarrassed

Jano, do you check slickdeals? Sometimes they have some good wireless routers for the $30 range... :)

Janice, the heck with it...you had fun with the kids.  The heck with being responsible and all that boring stuff.

Keep those good thots coming guys if you will.  Mom is feeling better!  Still has the runs, but the rest is better.

Jano, how were you supposed to know you were supposed to get a wireless router?

Paige, I am very happy about this, at least for now. I hope it lasts. I also hope that when I get booted from my parents' insurance again after my birthday, that I will be able to continue to afford this. I mean, the 3 months supply of all this stuff cost me about $300. I'll get insurance when I get booted, but it won't be as good. Hopefully the itching and insomnia aren't permanent, because I really do like the hearing.

Because now that I have a work computer and a home/freelance computer, I have to keep switching the ethernet cable back and forth... and I complained to DH about it... and complained about how expensive they are and how broke I am. Again > Embarrassed

Courtney, I didn't know about that. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Wait... ethernet cable? People still have those? It never even donned on me that everyone doesn't already have wireless.

I guess some of us ARE still up!!  *waving*

Karen -- keep feeling better -- and sorry the weather was a pain but i'm darned glad those folks ARE determined!

Glenda I will keep lifting your Mom up.

    Julie -- congrats

Jan - no, $150 to get out of their hair does not a demand for a router make!!  I'm just sorry you couldn't find what *you* needed!!

Deb I just keep lifting you up --

it's only 11:35 but all around me (David, Luna & Tink) are snoring.  sheesh -- you'd think I'd run them all around the block 10 times! LOL

Yes Jen, unfortunately I spend 100% of my income on food for our family, gas for my car, and diapers/supplies for the kids. I simply cannot afford to keep up with technology these days.

    Jan I PMed you :)

Don't feel guilty Jan. If someone wrote me a check for $150 and there were no restrictions on the money I'd have done the same thing.

Shesh women.....you *should* be able to read our (mens) minds by now and know what we want.  Don't worry Jan...you'll get it eventually.   hehehe
