mmmm yummy donuts!!!  LOL!  Didnt know it was donut day but I am all for it.

Callie I hope you are feeling some better today after your hectic and painful day yesterday!

My friend at the office, the one that is adopting, went with the birth momma yesterday to the Doctor.  The due date was March 3, but he wasnt ready.  They will induce on Thursday.  If you could spare some good vibes and prayers...for the Baby Momma, the Baby, and our friends the adoptive parents it would be most appreciated..

    Have a good day all!

Easy digging vibes would be most appreciated!

Glenda, put some lawn lime down.  It will help soften the ground.

There's very little I don't like when it comes to food, but I don't like donuts with jelly inside them. I'd eat one if I was starving or if it's lemon filling, but otherwise, I'm not a fan.

Just thinking about work while driving in was enough to get me stressed out before I got here. I need to stay focused on getting the Board mtg materials ready to go and hopefully they'll get out on time for a change. The director is letting the deputy director handle this meeting, so I think that'll make things smoother.

OMGosh!!!!  See the above post about the Baby?!  Well, he's coming!  She is already having contractions, my friend is going to be with her.  They wont go to the hospital until the contractions come closer together.  Prayers and vibes, please!

Wow - booze and doughnuts!  Fat Tuesday topics for sure! *grin*

Literally 12 hours on my stomach got the leg calmed down again.  Gotta do some more take-home work this morning.

I' had to change Billy's vet appt tomorrow b/c I realized *I* had a leg appt at the same time.  Hoping they don't have to do again to the leg what they did yesterday b/c I **really** want Dr. Bailey to see him -- the cough is a *bit* better I think, but I don't like how fast he's breathing when asleep.  I still think that yes, he irritated the heck out of his throat with that piece of plastic he tried to eat and coughed up, but I *also* think he worried himself into a near heart-attack while I was in the hospital.  I think it all just culminated in that episode that morning, and no one but me would notice how fast he's breathing at rest.

Flooor-da has NO clue how to celebrate either Columbus Day nor St. Pats, and altho Universal does "Mardi Gras" which is primary a parade and a concert series but they don't get into the food and stuff.  I miss the ethnic foods and stuff - it's part of the fun!

Hope everbuddy's feeling better!!  Glenda -- **hugs** to you as well.

    Well, he's coming!

Good vibes for a smooth birth and for comfort for the birth mom when she decides to hand that baby over to his parents who will raise him.

Glenda, I thought of you last night and can't bear the thoughts of how hard that must be.  (hugs)

I wish people would stop offering me big volunteer jobs (like building multiple websites!).  Sorry, guys, I've got too much on my plate, but thanks for the vote of confidence.

Gina - I would like to toast NOLA with you... such a special place in the world.  I absolutely resent the folks that commented it should have just been abandoned after Katrina.

Hey Mindy, I'd like to take you up on your offer to make a new sig.  I really need to get Dusty in here :)  If you'll have a chance, let me know and I'll get you some pictures.

I am so sleepy.  In honor of Fat Tuesday, I have had a fasnacht, and we went to a chinese buffet for lunch.  *yawn*

Wedding invites have gone out.  So now just have to keep hoping and praying that his STBX continues to do nothing so that it is all final in time.  I thought we were doing good and only had another week to go where she could do anything, only to find out that she had all the mail returned "unknown person @ this address" so the countdown hadn't started after all.  Grrr.  Positive thinking, positive thinking....

I start classes the end of this month.  So I got a new computer and we hooked up internet @ home last night.  In the 2 days I've had the computer I've managed to lock myself out of it.  FH had to spend 4+ hours trying several "password recovery/reset" programs that he downloaded in order to get into it.  ::headdesk::  I also have no idea how to use windows 7, need to really do so messing around and get familiar with it.

Today is a decent day weather-wise, but its calling for rain the rest of the week.  My poor mud pit...I mean yard....

Oh, a baby on the way is so cool!  Good vibes coming from here.

There are two options for the grave....one is covered in thick ice, the other is nice and soft, but will probably have a ton of tree roots.  When DS gets home I'll have him try the spot with potential roots and if it looks doable, I'll go out and dig with him.  I suspect that the burial won't happen tonight.  I did go in the shed and check and he still looks like Thor, so with sub freezing temps at night for the rest of the week, and 40ish during the day, just maybe we can get to Saturday to get this done without the ick factor for the guys to remember.  Dang it, I WANT to be the strong one here and just take care of things, but unfortunately PHYSICALLY I'm not strong.  I'm just not gonna let any of it get me down.

On a positive (?????) note, I totally filled a big trash can with exposed poop.  Now the yard simply looks like the septic tank hiccuped instead of exploded.  Of course, as the snow continues to melt it'll get worse, but, at least I've made a really good start of it.  Amazing how very MUCH there is out there.  We were pretty darned religious about cleaning it up on weekends, but, the massive amounts of snow obviously buried the massive amounts of....erm, poop.

Callie, while I question the wisdom GS cookies as a whole lunch, glad you feel like eating.  That's always a very good sign.

    • Gold Top Dog

Ginger that is so exciting about the baby!!  Will definitely send good thoughts their way!

(((Glenda)))  I understand your feelings about wanting to be strong for them.  The cool weather is in your favor for once so hopefully Saturday is do-able.  Or that the tree roots didn't get into the area as much as you suspect.

    • Gold Top Dog

Steph, good vibes for not having to send out amended wedding invitations.

    Good baby vibes coming!

Callie, I hope you don't have to go through that a second time.  It sounds absolutely miserable.

The sun is out and it's supposed to be around 70 tomorrow.  I don't think all the rain is over just yet, but spring is definitely on the way.

If I see one more segment about Charlie Sheen on the news I'm going to throw the TV through the window.  I wouldn't give him custody of a hamster much less a couple of kids.
