Is this forum slow??

• Is this forum slow?? willowchow Posted : 6/26/2006 10:05:26 PM Is anyone else having trouble with this forum being painfully slow?? I've got a high speed internet connection and I'm not having any trouble with other sites.   I'm getting sick of this forum being so slow.  This isn't the first time. • tacran Posted : 6/27/2006 12:37:16 AM Agree 100% - I have a high speed connection too, and we recently went wireless so we could use a laptop downstairs.  I've been blaming it on something we did wrong with that set-up.  Like Amy said, I'll have 5 minutes at work to log on, but it's so slow I have to log off because I can't wait that long for pages to load!   I hope they fix it!  I'm not technically inclined - I don't know what causes a site to be slow.  Guess I need to work on my patience! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • brookcove Posted : 6/27/2006 6:47:53 AM There's definitely a slowdown during peak usage - if you notice how many users are logged on (not even counting anonymous lurkers) in the evening versus, say, mid morning when there's not as much activity - you'll see that there's a direct relationship between the activity and the lag time.
