My DS's appt. with the accountant over the IRS issue went really well.  It is looking as though he won't have to pay anything because the IRS only looked at the sale of the stock, not the capital losses on the investments.  I could have kissed the CPA.

I slept on a heating pad all night to try to aleviate the pain from shoveling, and I seem to be ok (aside from my neck and lower back). Snow was like lead at the end of the day.  I heard we're getting more on Friday.  hahahaha!  I feel like I might go nutty with all this snow.  In Denver it would snow buckets, but it was the lighter fluffier stuff, or slush.  This snow turning to frozen rain creating iceskating rinks is not fun!

I really hope it doesn't snow until Sunday... getting back home on Saturday, and my car is parked in an uncovered long-term lot. Not looking forward to the prospect of digging it out at some obscene hour of the night after traveling all day...!

Poor little Rascal was apparently sick yesterday, puking a few times and with soft stools. His "babysitter" says he seems to be better today, though... fingers crossed! I hate the thought of him being sick while I'm not there!

Deb, I agree with you on the weather! It just needs to pick one thing and stick to it. It's starting to snow again...

I'll take the snow over the rain today!!!  Rain always makes me miserable!

Paige...no pain no gain!!!  hehe  Hope you feel better soon.  You'll get muscles where you didn't think you had any!  :)

I've gotta laugh at all the people up here that are getting sick with the flu who HAD the flu shot!!!  Go figure!

Hope you all have fun with the snow!  Everyone seems to be getting a little now!

Tina - great news about your son's tax situation and good for you for saving him (you) some money. I hope we can see pics of your dress.

I'm really busy here today and it seems like the day is flying by. I had a call from a college about a former "graduate" wanting me to verify his grad date. I couldn't find anything on him, so they scanned the diploma he gave them and sent it to me. Wow! It's strange to actually witness fraud like that. He used a different font than we do, left off the date and the name was skewed like it had been typed and then pasted on the copy of the diploma.. Really shoddy work.

Awwww, Poor Rascal!  I bet he's worried about you being gone.  I hope he feels better any way.

Paige, I can send Grady to you to show you how to stretch.  DH was stretching his back the other day.  He was on the floor doing basically 'downward facing dog'.  Grady sidles up next to him to show him how to do it right.  You could almost hear him saying 'you need to put more arch in your back, dad.  Like this.' and he goes into a play bow/back stretch.  It was too cute.  Oh then he gets in DH;s face to make sure he understood what was said.  I just giggled.

WOO-HOO  It's up to 10 degrees !

 It just started snowing again...

It's finally STOPPED snowing here.  Within the past hour.  Maybe you got ours.  You are more than welcome to it.

 Clive got a vaccine at his one month checkup yesterday. Poor guy ended up with a completely stuffed up nose starting in the middle of the night and continuing through today. No other symptoms that I'm aware of (we don't have a thermometer..one of those things we meant to grab and never got around to) but he only feels slightly warm..which is normal for him. Just the very stuffy nose. He's eating fine and isn't fussy.

I've had a cold for over a week, so I think he was successfully fighting that off and then I had to go and bugger with his immune system by giving it something else to focus on.  Hopefully the stuffies are short lived

Poor Clive. I hope he feels better soon. Seems like everyone I know has been fighting to get over a cold. I don't know if Johnny's right but I didn't get a flu shot and haven't caught anything so far *knocks on wood*

The sunny has finally come out here and since I didn't get out for lunch, I'm going to leave early and try to enjoy a little of it.
