Do you kiss your dog...

funny. I kiss on the top of his head (if he's calm and won't be too annoyed by it) and sometimes I kiss his chest/belly when he's in a full-on snuggle mode. This is the first dog I've lived with that is a licker, and he would clean out our mouths if we let him, but he gets one or two licks on our faces (in the morning before we are awake-enough to put a stop to it), then he has to stop. Sometimes he just moves on to licking our arms/hands.

I kiss my dogs all over, usually their heads. I'm not a mouth kisser, though. Penny isn't a licker/kisser at all. I don't even know if she's licked my face once in the 6 years I've had her. That's not her thing. She'll lick your clothes or hands if she smells something she likes though. LOL. Daisy is a compulsive licker, has been since day one. She licks everything she can, blankets, her paws, the couch, your body, etc. She's not as bad as when we first got her, doesn't really lick furniture anymore. We used to find wet circles on the couch from her licking. Sometimes she gets really excited to see me and slaps a quick kiss on my mouth, chin or nose. Not a big slurp or anything. haha. She'd lick your hands all day long if you let her, though.

    Just ask Bugsy. ~LOL~
    too funny

Um yes Bugsy is an obsessive kisser and will attempt to sneak a tongue in if possible - he and DH have a thing, much kissing going on

I kiss Bugsy on his head (my favorite) but I don't kiss him on his mouth - he attempts to lick my mouth but I know he'll go for the tongue so I usually avert my mouth and then he just air licks and is happy with that.

He will lick you until you stop him

I'm late to this thread, but it sure is making me chuckle as I read my way through it!  I definitely kiss dogs (even those that belong to other people) -- ears, nose, head, paws, belly, etc.  I don't like a dog that licks a lot, especially on the face.  One lick is okay, but not that obsessive, continual attempt to wash your face!

This thread reminds me of a funny story.  A co-worker and I used to walk on our lunch break, and we'd frequently pass a shop that had two Bulldogs lounging on the threshold, watching the people go by.  We always stopped to pet them and noticed one of them had a large pink stain on the top of his head (he was mostly white).  One day, the shop owner was near the dogs when we stopped to pet them, and she greeted us.  As we chatted with her, she was cuddling the dogs, and she kissed them several times on the tops of their heads.  It was then that I realized the cause of the stained fur:  she was wearing VERY bright lipstick, and it left kiss marks all over the poor dog's head!  The other dog's fur was darker on her head, so it wasn't as noticeable.  My co-worker and I laughed all the way back to our office!  Big Smile

    Haha... funny thread

I kiss my guys on the head... Don't usually initiate a mouth kiss but Luna is a huge kisser. She will hold you down and lick, lick, lick until you push her off. (sometimes I think she's just trying to clean your face tho, lol - she is the biggest pig)

I'll usually let her give me a few good ones... she's just too cute to resist!

Gotti's breath stinks though so no mouth kissies from him, lol.

DH calls it Luna's kissies of death. He gets a kick out of it and will sometimes let her go to town, haha.

Very late to this thread too.  Bugsy.  "My"  Bugsy, a male Bull Terrier is an "ear" man.  He absolutely loves to lick my ear lobes!!  He's not beyond sneaking a "little nibble" too.  He's very delicate.  I trust him not to bite too hard.  He'll continue on all over my face it I let him.  And I do let him sometimes.  But not on the mouth.  I call his saliva my "skin conditioner"!  It's a joke because I don't do a lot of "stuff" to my face.  No daily or nightly regimen or anything.

Sylvie, female Bull Terrier, is a compulsive licker.  It's common in Bull Terriers.  She'll lick just about any textured fabric.  Her feet too.  But she is not a big licker of people.  Weird.  Because Bugsy is not a fabric licker and he licks people.  And Sylvie is a fabric licker and does not lick people.

Dogs are weird.  People too, I guess!!! lol
