Cyclefiend2000, you may also want to change your filters if you haven't lately. They should be changed about once a year. If it's a kenmore, you can just tell the people at sears how old it is, and they will tell you what filters you need

Dyson all the way! I even bought a second one for backup when one has to go in for service.
With seven hairy shedders I vaccuum every day and get a canister full every time.
The Dyson works great on bare floors too. First vaccuum I've ever had that does that.

I adore my sanitaire. With two poms and one cat who sheds like crazy, the carpet looks great after I vacuum.

I, too, love my Dyson Animal. With a Newfoundland and two Persian/Maine Coon mix cats, my house gets vacuumed every day - year round and I can't believe the stuff it pulls up out of my carpets [:'(]

As long as I have Newfoundlands, I will never be without a Dyson.

Seems like Dyson is a good one.....
I am looking into getting a broom vacuum, dirt devil stick vacuum.
Though I'm not sure if it works or does a bad job.
I hate cords and I need something simple.

We hate our Dyson. What a piece of junk it is. My sister used it earlier today, and I can still see some dirt on the floor. The Sanitaire is much better.
