    We're in!

Meg - sent you an email.

Glenda, I mentioned to Meg although we are a 1 doggie house I am willing to send to a multi-dog house if you need me to!

No, there really ARE no rules other than if you sign up, you darned well better do it since we now have an official idog 2x4!  And, you need to stick close to shipping/mailing dates.

I too have received both ways.....carefully wrapped individual gifts, or a box of fun!  It really doesn't matter  And the sender can reveal themselves or not.  I never do!

I can't put the deadline into November.  First coordinating and matching people up is time consuming.  remember, I then have to send email to each and every person who has signed up.  CRAP!!!  GUYS, INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDY TOO PLEASE!  Then, folks need time to shop and package, ship, etc.  And lastly, I need time to scramble and try to cover for folks who either can't or don't send out their packages so that no dog is left with a lump of coal in his/her stocking on Christmas.  Given all that, mid October is the best I can do.  Keep in mind, that I too have a life and a few other things to do!

As far as cats go.....that's up to the group.  If you guys want to start including your cats, lets talk about it.  I've left it always at, if you want to buy something for the cat that is in the home of your dog recipient, go for it, if not, don't.  I've never included my cats, but then, I have a rather large number of dogs!

And, anything that needs to be changed, guys, is open to discussion.  This is NOT my deal.  I just coordinate it and try to stay within the guidelines that we've all agreed to over the years.  So, if we need to make some changes, by all means, lets discuss it.

Julie and Candace, I got your info.  While I would normally email back, somehow your stuff ended up in my spam folder, so figured I'd just tell you both here.

I'm excited guys!  Looks like this might be our biggest SS yet from the early response!

    • Gold Top Dog

I just emailed you Glenda; please let me know if the email didn't come through.

The list as of 10:30AM EST, Sunday morning, for single dog families is...

PurplePets, MrsTJohnson, fuzzy_dogs, thedoc, tiffy, jano, gradyupmybutt, kpwlee, the_gopher, Cita, and Ron.

If you are NOT on the above list, and want to do Secret Santa, AND you have a single-dog family, email me :) If you've already emailed, resend ASAP because it got sucked into a time/space/internet vortex and is gone forever.

    • Gold Top Dog

Heather, nothing yet. You'd best resend.

So everyone knows, I will generally not post HERE that I got your request.  Normally you will get a response to your email.  But sometimes I tuck them away in a file and forget....opps, forgot to email so and so.  So, in general, you'll want to watch your email for a response.

    I'm in!

Bailey is my only dog, but I do also have 2 ferrets (are ferrets allowed? would they fall into the "cat" category?) I don't really care either way if they get included or not (They're ungrateful little brats anyways, lol ) If so who should I email? Its up to whoever my SS is if they want to include ferret stuff. They like stuffies, small fluffy dog or cat beds, hammocks, sleeping sacks, etc.

And either way (whether ferrets are included or not) I'm perfectly fine with sending for multiple dogs.

One dog family, so you email me :) If your Secret Santa wants to buy for ferrets, he/she is more than welcome to, but not required :)

The other thing about pushing the deadline back so far is the shipping to and from Canada thing too. If I were to send regular mail, it would take about 2 weeks to get where its supposed to, assuming everything goes well. Longer if it gets lost.

Thanks Candance.  I think that a lot of folks simply don't realize what a large undertaking this can be.  It feels wierd this year to see "info sent" but I didn't get it and then to realize, oh gosh!  Santa has a helper this year!  Are you an elf Meg?  LOL!

One thing that was mentioned to me was that we should ALL do delivery confirmation.  One year I sent homemade liver treats and the package didn't make it, and I know that one of our members last year had a package delivered to the wrong address.  So if you pop for the 40 cents or whatever it is, there can be no question AND you have a leg to stand on if you want to beat up the post office.

Glenda, did you get my email?  You may have replied to my email at work.  I won't see that till Tuesday. :)

Ummm, I think so...you had a special request, right?
