    [linkhttp://www.craigslist.org/eby/pet/169402581.html]http://www.craigslist.org/eby/pet/169402581.html[/link]

It seems that this BYB is in big trouble.  Anyone able to send some advice her way?  My heart is breaking for her dog.  I think you can reply to the craigslist email on there....[sm=sad.gif][sm=sad.gif][sm=sad.gif]

WARNING: Do not read if you do not wish to be bummed out.

I say bring it to a shelter... in person, just take it there.  They WILL help it... now, they may not give it back to her .... they may or may not work out a payment schedule... or they MAY just help the poor thing and keep it... not allowing to go back to such an irresponsible owner.

They shelter also may euthanize it depending on how far gone the bitch is. She sounds like she is on her way out without a section done ASAP, stuck puppy needs to be pulled...in pieces if necessary...and that's hard to do at home...for the others behind to even have a chance with a section...that's if they could stabilize mom enough to get her sedated for a section.

Very sad...I wish I lived closer....heartbreaking....[:(;poor bitch didn't ask for any of this either. That's the saddest thing.

I wish I hadn't read that.... I'll be thinking about them all night.
I did find two animal rescues in her area and sent them information about her, as well as sending her information about them.  That's the best I can do from NH.  I know NOTHING about this stuff.  But that dog needs help if it's still alive, and if it's not, she will need help with any surviving puppies (born before this stuck one?)
    ugh...

D*mn I wish I hadnt read this. It kills me that someone will just let their dog die like this, no Vet or shelter will turn down help on a dying bitch. They will take her and make a payment plan or adopt her out if she survives which I find hard to believe she will survive.

All I see is a dead dog with dead pups. Maybe now this person will think twice before trying to turn her pet into a money making machine. Makes me wanna cry

Sorry guys.  I was hoping someone could help the dog.  Didn't mean to bum everybody out.  [&o]

The shelter in my town would have put her to sleep immediately upon surrender.  It's sad, very sad, but overpopulation is a big problem here and there are tons of other, healthy dogs to adopt out.  I had brought in over 20 wild born puppies when I worked for AC, all were PTS upon arrival.

I heard back from one of the shelters I contacted about her.  Apparently, she brought the dog to a vet and abandoned it there.  Here's their response:

"It's been taking care of.  From what I heard.  ;Person who brought the dog saw the quote for vet care and refused.  Left (abandonded) the dog at the vet office.  Vet office still took care of the dog.  One of the office person there took the dog in.   So...the vet office got stuck but still took care of the dog.  Too bad they didn't have the dog spayed....vs accidental pregnancy."

Thanks Paige for this update. What a great idea it was to find a way to follow up/try to help! I am so hoping that Momma makes it okay...and at least some of her babies.

Thank you for letting us know that the dog is with a vet. It was awful not knowing. I really appreciate hearing the ending of the story!
