I'm sorry proof - I know how you feel - Maggie came to me when I was 15 and she was with me for 10 years. She's also the first dog I've been with when they died. It's super tough.
Speaking of - I just got a call from the cremation service.
It was incredibly hard to cover all the little details over the phone (name and dates on the urn, payment). At least I don't have to go back to the clinic where she died to pick them up, but I'm still crying from the convo. It didn't help that the guy was so cheerful and thought it was ironic that they had her bday listed as the 19th and her death date as the 19th, too. Dude, if you're talking to someone who is obviously trying to keep it together don't you *dare* try to make light of something. I'm not really mad at the guy, just the situation; I figure he's probably not a person who's really comfortable with death and uses humor to diffuse it.
I was doing pretty good until that - need to get it out and go run errands now..
