 I'm a grumpy old lady this morning

I am frantically cleaning the house before guests arrive tonight - DH is useless.  Bugsy is supervising so he is about 6 inches from whatever I am trying to do.  Thanks Bugs very helpful. And Flo decided to come early so I have major cramps.  Oh and the weather is a steam bath.  Woke up to all the windows covered in moisture because it is cooler inside than out. marshmallow air - my favorite, NOT

Jackie I am very glad that Charles got moved - bummer about the plate - sounds exactly how DH would react. No biggie boys just a plate LOL

OK I need to do a post about Bugsy's feet - they are constantly red and he isn't licking or biting them

So freaking sad!! If that CEO from BP still has a job after all this, I'll be shocked.

Sad, sad state of affairs.  Sickening on so many levels, I can't even begin to talk about it.  The thing that hurts my stomach the most is that BP didn't have ANY contingency plan for disaster recovery.  WTH!  How simply stupid and arrogant was this.

Buddy goes to the vet late this afternoon for his annual exam.  He'll also get his thyroid level rechecked.  He's starting to stumble again...I'll talk to the vet about that too.  My sweet old boy!

Today is library day.....got to get a fresh "fix".  And funny......DH is now devouring books too!

Tenative plan is for him to leave Sunday, IF the check from his mom gets here Saturday, or Monday if not.  I hope soooo hard that this is the place we are going to be for a good long time.

I need the 2x4.  There is a person who works for the city whom I have to deal with occasionally.   I can't go into details on a public forum but lets just say that if a flowerpot fell off a windowsill and hit her on the head, it would make my day.

Deb, sorry you had that happen and I'm glad the only damage was to your tire and that you didn't have an accident.  We have some terrible potholes too and I've just been lucky that I never hit one going turnpike speeds.   **passes Deb a Bloody Mary**

  I need to get busy so I can get up to the hospital.  Charles did tell me this morning that his license plate has fallen off twice before.  Really?  Well, I guess someone should put it on properly and perhaps it won't be an issue anymore. Ya' think? Of course, I get to drive to the opposite side of town to retrieve the one at the hospital because it's not the hospital Charles is at now.  Jeez, glad I don't have anything else to do.

Glenda, we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for Todd's interview.  Paige, I send you get a job vibes constantly.  I'll step up the strength.  It's gotta happen.

Jackie, I'll take a Bloody Mary, too, but only if you put the celery stick in it.  Up here at some bars they use green beans, and IMO, that's just wrong. 

 They did a fecal on Blaze, everything came back negative.  She does have a sensitive tummy, esp when we've spend anytime away.  The vet gave her some ForteFlora and some antibiotics to try to get everything settled down.  She also feels that she has some arthritis in her back and suggested, after we get the tummy back in check, we look at some grain free diets.  She said there has been talk that all grains, not just wheat (which we were already avoiding) can increase inflammation.  She also said to put her back on fish oil again (she used to take it but I've slacked off recently :( )  So who knows the dosing for fish oil and vit e?  But overall she said Blaze seems to be doing great, she's not losing weight, her lungs were clear, ears looked good, and she has "an athlete's" heart.

We got my motorcycle finally running on Sunday, only to have it leave us sitting @ the carnival an hour from home.  I had to call my ex-FIL to come get us.  The ex-ILs are such nice people, I love them.  He came and got us and took us home.  Wouldn't take gas money or anything.  We couldn't figure out what happened, it charged for hours and we'd been riding, it shouldn't have been dead.  Well come to find out there was NO BATTERY ACID in the battery!  How the heck it ever started in the first place is beyond me.  So it's been refilled and recharged and I rode to work today.  It *better* start when I am ready to leave.

Jackie methinks if it has fallen off before that means this time is not your fault :)

I'm with whoever said (Jackie?) that the problem w/ laundry is the folding.  9 times out of 10 I do laundry and it sits in the basket in my room for a week or so and I just pull clothes out of it as I want them.  I try to pull dress shirts out and drape them over the hook on the back of the closet so they don't wrinkle, but I'm horrible about putting stuff away right away, and I only do laundry for myself

OK so in my whole house super clean I discovered that there is a leak under the guest bathroom sink - a bad one - it is the copper piece above the rubbery hose to the cold water supply.  I shut the cold water supply off and dried under the sink and sorted out what could or couldn't be saved.  Really not what I needed

Anyway enough cleaning for me.  My supervisor is too bored with it all and has gone under the dining room table for some peace and quiet zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Read through all the posts- job vibes, tire vibes, motorcycle battery vibes, glad to hear Charles is doing well! 

Just redid the landscaping in the backyard (tiny backyard) to hopefully suit my girls' pee needs better. Found a puddle in teh house. Ugh. 

Other than that, waiting for dh to get home with the car so I can run some errands.  we've kindof hit a spot in life where we are bored.  Kids are still little so hard to do much with them, bleh.

Oh, did sign up Darby and I for an agility class though, starts in 3 weeks! Woohoo!

If anybody wants to hire me, I'll fold and put away your clothes.  I actually got paid to do it once when I lived w/a rich celeb. lol  All those years in retail, I can fold well, and my spacial awareness is superb!  I find that if I don't want to put away clothes, it usually means I don't have enough SPACE to put my clothes away and have to shuffle things around. So, I take the chance to pull out out of season clothes, box 'em up, and put them away.

I put the recycling bin out - but apparently, this is one of three weeks this year when they pick up on Sat instead of Fri (because of the holiday).

Seger's mom says he did great overnite at the hospital. They were very positive this morning, he was awake when they got there and "lifted his head high when he heard daddy's voice." Thanks for the good wishes for him, guys.  I can't stand the thought of any dog in pain.

Glenda, hope the money comes soon and you guys have good news to share by next week.  Thanks for the vibes for me.  I might just go and become a housekeeper - I've become especially proficient at it here...

Yeah, and the bank said the charges were made over the phone.  I haven't used my credit card online hardly at all or even in real stores, for quite a while.  So much for the online security of Verisign
