Barb and all you guys = congrats on the loss!! Thanks awesome.

Tina, I think it's great that you've got someone you DO feel comfortable with.  Heck I didn't even DATE when I was in high school.  LOL --

The pug decided she was BORED last night so she got up on my pantry shelves and helped herself to the box of decaf coffee bags (I never fix a full pot).  I heard this significant crackle and upon investigation she's busy working on this foil package she's neatly chewed into and had 1/4 of a coffee bag neatly consumed.  *HA* -- I'm SO glad it wasn't regular coffee.  sheesh.  This dog has a caffeine thing! LOL

What kinda kid eats LIMA BEANS??

Big Smile  Hey now Mama.  I love Lima beans....loved them as a kid.  Spinach too!  Popeye was my hero.  But, instead of big biceps....I thought eating spinach would give me big boobs.  LOL  Didn't work.  Neither did those exercises where you press your palms together repeatedly.  What was the chant for that one?  I can't remember now.  **sigh**

    What's wrong with free beer????

Not a thing!  It's just that when I have a few, I tend to lose clothing and that's not how I want this to go, at least the first time.

Callie, you'd be surprised to know that I barely dated in high school because I was such a nerd, nobody would ask me out.  The brainy girls were only good for one thing - homework help.

ETA: Gina, at least they're lima beans, not fava beans...with a nice Chianti....

Tina you must call him!!!!   My first true love was when I was 17, he went to college, we split, never saw each other again.   I had heard that he had a bad car wreck and died, omg...I was so upset when I heard this although it had been so many years I still had a piece of my heart dedicated to that boy.   Then about 5 years ago, I was contacted by "HIM" via email!   He obviously didnt die!, although after talking he had a bad accident but was never close to death.   He is very happily married as am I but we have had lots of fun catching up with each other and with some recent losses in his family I have been able to be a sounding board for him.   I have a true friend that I am so happy to have, he feels the same and although we dont have any romantic thoughts, I am so very glad that we have been able to get to know each other again!  So even if it doesnt work out to be a "relationship" you just cant pass up the opportunity to have a good friend.   When life gets busy he or I may not get in touch for a few weeks but when that happens one of the other of us makes contact just to check on each other.....call him!!!!

Congrats on the weight loss ladies!  This winter has not been good to me.  I was taking belly dance last year and it was great.  The classes ended in Oct and they didnt have enough interest to start again.   I am really missing it.    I do my daily stretches but it is not the same.   I am soooo happy the summer is here, I can work in the yard and get more excersise!

Did I get a chance to tell you guys that my daughter got married?  They eloped and she is the happiest little girl!  See!

We have gotten tons of rain here, sunshine today!

Missing you guys alot!   Managed to catch up with pictures but thats about all.  Hope all is well, hugs if you need them!

I can hold my weight in liquor, only when it is in the cases!

Ginger, congrats on your dd's elopement! And your points have been duly noted.

Congrats on the weight loss all you guys. I know it's not easy to stay motivated with the diet or the exercise.

Tina - I agree with the others about pursuing this guy. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Ginger - Congratulations on your daughter's marriage. She does look very happy.

I guess I didn't really date much in high school either. I met my ex-DH when I was 15 and married him when I was 18. That lasted almost 21 years. I tried to make up for it when we divorced though and that was a lot of fun.

I've dropped a few pounds in the last week.  A combination of working like a horse, sweating like a field hand and not giving a single calorie a chance to grab hold.  The wierd thing is, I'm always hungry!  Guess I cranked up the metobilism to the enth degree.

I woke up at my typical 5:30....thought about organizing all the last minute crap that made it's way into the RV so that I could unload the balance of the last minute stuff from my car....then said the heck with it and went back to bed until 9:30!!  I don't EVER sleep that late!  But, when I got back here at after 9, I still had to add stuff to our bed....we use a down mattress pad on the air bed, and obviously since we slept in the house Sunday night, and the crates were already on the bed out here, it just wasn't convenient to put the bed together before we left.  Had stuff in the shower stall too that had to be put away so I could use the shower.....yesterday was a THREE shower day!

As I predicted, "the guy" who was supposed to call on Friday, called just as we were getting ready to pull out to come over here.  Had to copy DH's drivers license and fax that, and he needs to sign another form and get faxed today.  Then we have to put together what it'll cost to move and email that so he can get a wire transfer done.  At this point things are looking really good for a job and I wasn't off by much, time wise.  Just please keep the fingers crossed???

I'm being philosophical about all this extra moving.  Will be MUCH easier to pull a UHaul to the pole barn door and load HERE than it would have been THERE.  Not counting on anything yet, but boy, we want this BAD!!!

Being productive is highly over rated, but guess I'd better get to it.....sigh!

Thank you, he is a keeper.   I didnt think she would ever be able to get that divorce from the last one, but once it finally happened our new "Son" got down on his knees and proposed, of course like any good southern man he called her Daddy and I first for our blessing.  The he called Grandpa and Grandma and my son and their father and his wife, then his son, and both my daughter's boys, lol!   He was trying to make all these calls on the sly that day and had to keep sneaking her phone that had all the numbers in it, ha!  She told us later that day the she had a feeling something was up cause he kept sneaking off with her phone with some lame excueses about his not being charged :).  They saw absolutely no reason to wait any longer and neither did all of us.   We fell in love with him and he has been awesome to her and the kids.  They have waited for over a year and now they are very happily married!

It's been forever since I've written in here.  Life's been busy but not with anything I can really quantify except that I dragged DH to the Papillon Nationals in the beginning of the month.  What a blast.  I got a few pictures but mostly of friend's dogs & they are all rescues.  I went to help my rescue group with their table & to squeal at all the diva dogs.  As cute as they are, none of them held a candle to my boy.  We took Aspen & he was so well behaved.  I was sooooo proud of him.  I did lose my heart to a girl we transported to her foster home.  She was an owner surrender.  Her owner was a 94 y/o man who just couldn't take care of her any more.  I called her Cujette when I first met her.  Poor thing was so scared she led with her teeth.  by the time I handed her off to her foster dad she was sitting in my lap & demanding attention.  I can't get her off my heart.

I may have not been posting but I have been reading.   Y'all have been in my thoughts & I've been sending out good thoughts/vibes to everyone.

    ETA: crossed fingers for Glenda!
