Lets get the bets going... (jano)

oh Jano - help the poor guy out and remind him!!!! That way you both are happy in the end!

My FH has wonderful intentions, but also the memory of a goldfish, plus I'm not much better, so we always try to remind each other of these dates/birthdays, etc.

So the place where DH bought my ring sent a card in the mail. It was addressed to him, but when he saw where it was from, he tossed it on the table and said, "You might as well open that one." They send us a $25 gift card every anniversary. Which is basically useless because nothing in that store is even close to that price.

So I'm thinking he knows it's coming up... but doesn't realize it's the day he's planning on playing? Dunno. Men. Hmm

He must be gonna come by and serenade you Jan...HOW ROMANTICAL!!

Wow - Yanke - 40 years?!  Congratulations!  You don't hear numbers like that very often (at least not as much as we used to).  I hope you and your wife enjoy special celebration with your family when the date arrives!

Janice - be sure to let us know what happens tomorrow.  Maybe he'll surprise you (even if it did require the reminder of the gift card in the mail from where he got your ring).

We got married the day after DH's birthday, so he has no excuse for forgetting our anniversary.  Actually, he always remembers it, even though we both stick to rather unromantic acknowledgement -- a card and dinner out.  I admit that even I forget the number of years sometimes . . . it's been so long.  1991 feels like a lifetime ago, and since it's not an "even" year, it requires some math to calculate!  Smile

Today is the day...and Jan is not here....hmm....could they be "cooking" something special for their Anniversary?

Maybe Breffist in BED! With plenty of Breffist SAUSAGE!! whee!! Yes

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JAN AND MR. JAN!

With 2 kids and one trying not to sleep at night, I'd bet Janice would be willing to forego the breakfast "sausage" and opt for a nap while DH supervises.  Besides, isn't the "cooking" what got them into this situation to begin with?

    My thoughts, exactly. lol

Happy Anniversary, Jan and Mr. Jan!! Yes

Tracy, my DH and I can't ever remember how many years we've been married but it's approaching 35, I think. lol  Long time....  We got married on DH's birthday, so he has no excuses.  I do remind him anyway because I see no point in making him feel bad just to prove he has a bad memory.  We established that YEARS ago. :)

Jackie - I think that is so wise and probably explains why you've been married so long. :)

Jan - I hope you have a very Happy Anniversary today, even if you had to remind your hubby.

I'm extremely tempted to put happy anniversary on her wall

Tina - your post was hilarious, but probably pretty darn accurate!  Big Smile  I remember hearing some woman say that her dream anniversary gift (or maybe it was birthday) would be if her husband sent her on a romantic weekend getaway by herself while he stayed home with the kids!

Jackie, you and your DH have the same advantage we have -- the celebrations are combined for our anniversay and his birthday -- one dinner out covers both occasions.  I do love coupons and bargains, so the 2-for-1 thing works for my budget goals!  Smile  I know I should be proud to say how many years we've been married, but the idea of that many years having gone by kind of freaks me out.  We're now at an age that I used to think was so OLD when I was in my 20's.  Ugh!

Happy Anniversary to Jan and her hubby!

He remembered! Last night on his way home from work, he stopped and picked up a bouquet of daisies, a card and some cinnamon rolls. (on a motorcycle!) I actually saw it last night because I got up to get some water. The card is pretty funny - it's got a monkey on the front and says something like, "My dearest wife, I thought I'd get you a card that reminded you of me." Then open... wait, what the heck? Flip it over and it says, "It doesn't do anything it's supposed to either." LOL! The card is glued together, so it doesn't open.

HAPPY ANIVERSARY JAN and Mr. JAN!  :)  I'm glad he pulled through on this one... only a lifetime to keep remembering!  Go, Mr. Jan, GO! :)

Jackie -- what a wonderful gift for DH's birthday -- a bride (and an easy out on remembering his anniversary!) LOL
