    Tuesday Chatter

It's raining. Ari actually grumbled at the alarm clock this morning, rolled over and cuddled into me - making it nearly impossible to get up with enough time to get ready for the day Stick out tongue

I would like to go back to bed now please.

I think my bank is trying to set some record for how many times in one week they can piss someone off.  I just checked my online account and saw this check transaction for some random number.  I only ever write checks for two things - my rent and my van, both I personally drop off since I hate mailing money in any form.  The check in question is for the van payment, but the number is 270.21 instead of 210.21.  Time for another round of phone tag!!

I just got the warm fuzzies reading yesterday's MC.  When Jackie and Tina are fighting over possession of a pint sized physical therapist . . . . you just know all is right in the world again.

Meg - that is one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen.  You're going to be drop dead gorgeous in it.

I got a prescription for antihistamines yesterday for my continuing sinus problems.  It made me have to get up and pee every hour on the hour.  Ugh

I was so stoked on Saturday when we were in Indy looking for a house. I fell in love with one. The price was awesome, the neighborhood was quiet and the property was big.

I make some phone calls for the school district information and I am just devastated. She'd be going to the 15th WORST high school in all of Indiana. No thanks. I called the neighboring school district. (The house is 3 blocks from the cut-off line) I begged, pleaded and tried to bribe, but they were having none of it. Ugh. Back to the drawing board. Another trip to Indy this weekend. =(

I did find a few more to look at within my price range, so I'm excited about that, but not excited about the boring drive down there and back.

That is all. I'm done whining for now.

Trying to get the guys off......and we still have to go to the station to "go over a few things".

    My nerves are shot.

Don't feel bad Deb.  I was probably up with you, only for Agnes.

If you didn't catch up on Saturday's chat, Agnes's urine and blood work showed nothing abnormal or out of range.  The incontinence is likely due to the Enalapril.  Good news, though.  She has no heartworm larvae in her blood!!

Sewer guy is coming shortly to auger my laundry drain.  I'm up to my eyeballs in work.  And I have to cancel my hair appt since I can't be in two places at once - the sewer is more important right now.  Please let it be a simple clog and nothing major.  Angel

    ((((Glenda))))

Fingers crossed that it's something simple, Tina.

I just got the greatest news!!!  My friend, & training buddy's dog, Xander, who was diagnosed with early stages DCM last month, was accepted into a clinical trial for DCM at the University of Florida!!!!!  My friend was so worried that Xander wouldn't be accepted, but he was.  I know that it may not work, but at least there is something, other than just waiting for Xan to die.  I, literally, have tears streaming down my face because I'm so happy that he is, at least, getting a chance at a new life!

    • Gold Top Dog

Wow, Amanda, that's awesome news!!  Good luck to Xander & his mama.

Nothing to report.  I should be getting things ready for delivery of our new TV.  Last week our 'old' one, maybe 8 years old, bit the dust.  We're having the new one delivered because the old one is a beast.  It's one of the last tube tvs instead of a flat screen.  We're really hoping that the delivery guys will cart the old one off & recycle it.

Glenda  ((HUGS)) is all I can say.

    That is all for now....

I'm happy to read all of the good doggy news here today! I hope the clinical trial goes well.

I really hate having to type in the html code to make paragraphs on this forum. It is only when I use my bb that I have to do this but still. That is typically how I visit these forums anyway. Ok whining over

I gave yet another presentation this morning. I have another tomorrow and thurs too! I'm getting pretty good at this public speaking thing. Who would have thunk it.

We're meeting with a speech therapist at 10:30 this morning.  Charles is using the transportation service provided.  It's a bargain and saves me time and gas and wear and tear on my vehicle.  We don't think he needs speech therapy but this is the one who works on memory and concentration issues also.  We'll see what she has to offer.

Glenda, I wish I could be there to help share the load you have right now.  (((Hugs)))

Glenda, I'm thinking of you and your family.

Meg - that dress is absolutely beautiful!

Tina - good luck with the drain :)

FH and I have an appointment with the wedding cake lady tonight to meet her and discuss stuff. I wish I was tasting instead. LOL. We have been trying to juggle appointments all week, between his physio, the chiropractor and wedding stuff, there isn't a lot of time!

I have been joking with him, that if he has to have surgery on his knee, it will be very fitting for him to be in a knee brace of some sort for our wedding pictures. hehe. About a week after I met him, he broke his foot, badly and had surgery on that, he was off it for around 6 months. THen a year or two later, he broke his collar bone, twice, in a couple months, had a couple surgeries on that - I've nursed him through a lot of them!

Stacey, maybe you should consider a bubble-wrap tux?

    Meg, love the dress.

Glenda, sending you tons of good thoughts!!

Ron, really sorry to hear about the job situation. Glad you have a few leads on something new - fingers crossed for you!

Jackie - speech therapy, eh? If his speech is doing well enough that you don't think he needs it, ask them to work on some more advanced stuff. You know, like, "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" I can see this going good places.

Good news, though.  She has no heartworm larvae in her blood!!

That is GREAT news! Yay for Agnes. I hope you also get some good news on your clogged drain.

I'm sick. I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and now have all the makings of a nasty cold. It was nice of DH to share this with me. I have a ton of work to do today, so staying home wasn't an option but I feel like only half my brain is working and it's not the best half. :(

I'll have to go check out Meg's dress.

Ron - sorry about the job but I'm betting you won't have any trouble finding something else soon.

I really need to do our taxes. I know we're going to have to pay and I just didn't want to deal with it yet but now I'm worried how much we might actually have to pay. You'd think the huge investment losses from the 2 yrs prior to this last one would get us a free ride for awhile, but it may not help that much.

Okay...off to muddle my way thru some work.

Alright, Meg, I looked, and the dress is going to look soooo good on you!  Beach wedding, I assume, given your location?

Glenda, you've gotten through worse things before, you will get through all the latest chaos.  You have your family and that is a tremendous advantage in the toughest times - it's not like you're fighting among eachother - you have unity.  Hold onto your faith.

Ron, you and Glenda could start a club with all the work instability.  What a pita!!  Sending good wishes that the leads pan out and you get a good reference from your previous job.

Jackie, glad to hear Charles' rehab is moving forward smoothly.

I am pissed to high heaven that I've gained weight after stopping the Cadbury Mini Egg binging and swapping out for nutrisystem meals which, btw, most really do taste pretty miserable.  I'd like to believe it's from my monthly friend, but it's not all that.  I'm a pudge monkey and I need to get more exercise in to drop this crap off of me.  Meanwhile, we're getting 10-12 inches of snow starting tonight.

Hey, Laren, what's the latest with that guy getting out of prison?

(I think I'm forgetting someone again, but I'll just revise and revise, I guess.)

    • Gold Top Dog

Meg!  That dress is so you.  It's stunning.

I forgot to mention how happy I am that Agnes' bloodwork came back so favorable.  Thank you, again, Tina, for taking such great care of her.

Paige, I hear you on the pudginess.  We went to the gastroenterologist (sp?) yesterday.  He palpated my abdomen.  Okay no biggie.  That IS is job after all. He dictated a note to my primary dr while I was there so I could make sure of the facts he was stating.  He said my belly was 'soft'. Okay bud, I know I'm fat.  Trust me, I'm not pleased with this turn of events.  My selft esteem went plumeting after that comment.  At least I'm not smoking anymore.  Oh yeah & because of his palpating my abdomen I had this horrible burning in my esophagus for the rest of the day.  Thanks bud.

EDITED to add: Cathy, I hope you feel better soon.  Colds stink.
