Jean, is the moose in your signature THE barn moose? If it is, you've got a double wonder. A moose living in your bard & an albino one @ that.

No Annie, that's a moose that was photographed some years ago down in Chitina or somewhere. Maybe Healy, I forget. White moose do okay in the winter but in the summer they can't hide and get killed really fast. And mostly by bears, btw, though wolves do hunt them, too. Bears kill lots of calves every year.

The moose that's been hanging out in the barn is tree brown. They are ALL tree brown, even if they are all a different shades of tree brown. [sm=happy.gif] The most amazing thing about a moose is that it can take two steps into the woods and utterly VANISH. [sm=eek.gif]It amazes me every time I see it. It's a freaking HUGE animal and yet you blink your eyes and ::::::GONE::::: Sofie has alerted me to moose standing nearby that I would have never seen without her! She's very valuable as an Early Moose Warning System.

Well I have
Gypsy - 96 lb
Hugo - 85 lb
Sophie - 70 lb
Archie - 40 lb (the little guy)
That's 291 lb of dog and app 45 lb of cats (4)
All in a compact little 800 sq ft house. Yah I know I'm crazy.[sm=biggrin.gif]
Do the fur balls I sweep up every morning count?

Thats 141lbs of dog. Wait. BF weighs 170ish. Does he count? He can be a dog figuratively.

Lucy weighs just about 10 pounds. Maybe add in her collar and make her soaking wet after a bath, and she'd probably hit the 10 pound mark.

Well let's see Pugsly - 17 lbs
                     Pepe - 8 lbs
                     Athena - 65 lbs

                      So 90 lbs of dog at my house.

At my mom's house Zeus - 135 lbs
                               Fiona - 95 lbs
                               Duke - 65 lbs
                               Piglet - 3 lbs
                         An 298 at her house.

And just think i'm going up there with all my dogs so it will be 388 lbs of dog for a week lol.

OK - we broke out the scales and weighed 'em last night.

Pofi - 68 lbs
Mia - 34 lbs

So Pofi is = to 2 Mias. No wonder he looks GIANT next to her.

Felines:

Benito - 16 lbs
Iggy - 12 lbs
Ernesto - 12 lbs

102 pounds of canine and 40 pounds of feline in our abode.

I have such BIG DOGS and Pumpkin thinks she can take on the world.
