No Annie, that's a moose that was photographed some years ago down in Chitina or somewhere. Maybe Healy, I forget. White moose do okay in the winter but in the summer they can't hide and get killed really fast. And mostly by bears, btw, though wolves do hunt them, too. Bears kill
lots of calves every year.
The moose that's been hanging out in the barn is tree brown. They are ALL tree brown, even if they are all a
different shades of tree brown. [sm=happy.gif] The most amazing thing about a moose is that it can take two steps into the woods and utterly VANISH. [sm=eek.gif]It amazes me every time I see it. It's a freaking HUGE animal and yet you blink your eyes and ::::::GONE::::: Sofie has alerted me to moose standing nearby that I would have never seen without her! She's very valuable as an Early Moose Warning System.
