Bevo's Day *Warning* Surgery Pics

I was afraid the pictures might ick me out but they weren't bad at all and seeing an actual fatty tumor is interesting.

I was thinking the same thing, Cathy.  The shot of it on the table made it look like a scallop cut in half!  Gracie has some to be removed, and I'm dreading the procedure and potential cost.  Having a vet surgeon as a family friend and business partner would be great! lol

Hope Bevo's recovery is quick and he leaves his stitches alone.  Sending virtual beef hearts his way. ;D

Awe Bevo...thank goodness its over...huh?   Oh and the drool on the drunk picture...so much reminds me of Gibby after his neuter.

Neat pictures of the surgery!!  Glad to hear Bevo came out of it well, and hopefully it will be a smooth recovery!

And big sidenote...that's Cher?? She looks AMAZING in that photo, her skin is a world of difference!  Have I missed a big photo dump of her lately?  What a sweetie, all snuggling up to everyone.

Bev says thanks for the kisses, lovins & extra cookies that he's recieved today! (His chunky butt didn't need the cookies, but he got them anyway!)

Chelsea, the collar was a HUGE hit. I had a load of questions about where it came from. If/when you get an esty shop set up, let me know. I'll happily promote it for you.

Johnny, Cher didn't deal with surgery very well. Bev was still drunk when we left the clinic to drive home, so as soon as we got him loaded, he curled up in the bed & went to sleep. Cher sat next to him for the entire 3 hour drive home. She would, occasionally, lean over to check on him. When we got home, she sat on the corner of his bed & watched him sleep. I had to leash her to take her out becaused she refused to leave him. The poor girl was exhausted by the time we were ready to go to bed! This morning, when she found Bev wide awake & back to normal, she's back to her normal, silly self.

Paige, the procedure itself wasn't bad at all.  Today, he is bruised & very swollen.  I expected the swelling because of the location, and because he had to have 2 different muscle groups cut & then reattached to get all of the tumor out.

Lisa, that is indeed Cher. I've done random threads with her pics included. I don't think that I've done a dump of just her though. She is doing really well, & when she wants to be, she can be very sweet & charming.

Neat pic's.  I've watched a few of my dogs' surgeries over the years and it's always fascinated me.  Bevo, be good till you heal up.  Hah!  Like that will happen.  Sending him kisses and good vibes!  Cher, you're a sweetie.

Bevo will be back to his ole self real soon.  Those were interesting shots to see.  Poor Cher, didn't understand why Bevo was "down."  What a sweetie; I'm sure she was very happy to see him up and about this morning.  Smile

How cool you got pics!  When Hot went to get his paw fixed yesterday I didnt even think to get pics.  Of course I was assisting the Doc so it might have been hard.  Rocky wanted to go but I am glad I didnt take him cause they were having Coggins Clinic and there was lots of people and horses.

Bevo you be a good boy for mama cause you need to get good and well so you can go run and swim!  Cher you are a very good sister.  See that's another good reason why we are glad you are part of the family, "Nurse Cher" !

Not so good.  He had a softball sized serum pocket around his suture line.  It is totally my fault because I didn't want to deal with a drain tube.  Bev went back to the vet who did the surgery.  He had surgery again today to re-open the suture line, clean out the serum pocket, place a drain tube, & then resuture it.  If everything goes well, he will be with the vet until Wednesday. :(

    Oh gosh........................................

Well...live and learn, right?   Maybe Bev will heal more quickly and come home a day early....hope so anyway!

Aw poor baby. :( Don't go too hard on yourself though. I'm sorry he has to be away from you though! How's Cher handling that? After you told us the way she had been acting when he was still out of it, I'm sure she misses her brother. :-/ Give her some hugs and kisses for me.
