MC Friday, YAAY!

Oh, I don't understand stock market type stuff.  Marketing, nope.  My associates is in medical (so why is it I do a/p for a fast-food franchise?).

Have done nothing all day.  Just enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.  What a slacker.

Now I have to bite the bullet and get some stuff done....

Crap, I forgot to mention the full-body scanners are up at Logan Airport in Boston.  I'll just resurrect the thread.

Meanwhile, for Gina (& Meg, too, right?)  and all crafty Chuck Norris fans... courtesy of a cross-stitching website.

"Did you know that Chuck Norris doesn’t wear a watch, because HE decides what time it is? Or that Chuck Norris is so fast, he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head? You did? Then this pattern is for you!"

I still have high hopes for 3+7='10....Sunday. Sunday. Sonja on Sunday!  BUT, on the bright side, she won't be born on a Tuesday!!

Edit to add: "What was going through the minds of all of Chuck Norris' victims before they died?  His shoe."  and

"Chuck Norris can blow bubbles with beef jerky." - I am about to pee my pants from laughing so hard.  http://www.chucknorrisfacts.com/chuck-norris-top-50-facts

Yup. I'm reading up on what to eat/what not to eat in the days leading up to it. It's very confusing. Some websites say easily digestible/high fiber, but other sites say to avoid high fiber foods because they are more likely to cause gas. Confused

Even though I've mentally prepared myself for a vbac this entire pregnancy, I'm ok with having a c-section. But every time I think about having to wait so long after the birth to be able to hold her, I get all teared up. I think I'm going to see if I can hold/nurse her while I'm still in recovery.

I went thru the same confusion when I was preparing for my surgery last summer. It's pretty darn confusing but in the end, I don't think it mattered that much pre-op. Post-op, I found that gassy foods caused some pretty painful stomach cramps even with constant dosing of gas-x. Can't they do the c-section with just a spinal so you can be awake?

I know nothing, but if your due date was only a few days ago, isn't it a bit quick to schedule a c-section?

Either way, thinkin' baby thoughts for you!  Good luck!

I imagine the day isn't too far off when  they're going to be in every airport, for both international and domestic flights.  Just get thee to Victoria's Secret and get yourself something totally scandalous and just make sure it's always ready for a flight.  Or better yet, just skip the underwear completely and make their day.

Sharon, send Ari to me. Bev has one flat coat girlfriend, & I'm sure that he'll be thrilled to have another. When I walked in to find them on the table, I gave them "the look." Bevo knows what "the look" means. Cher doesn't. Bevo hopped off the table as soon as I walked in. Cher, otoh, started wagging her nub furiously, & bouncing around barking at me in hopes of getting attention.

Paige, I like that tent! When it was just DH, the dogs, & I, we were tent & backpack people. Now, with kids, it's just easier to have the big tent.

I took off early today. I was tired, & wanted a few extra hours off. I came home, played with the dogs, & had an early dinner with the boys. DH & the boys are doing a father/son camping trip this weekend so I'm alone with the dogs. I am taking a weekend off to do as much or as little as I want. We'll see how that goes.

WE'RE PLACING AN OFFER ON A HOUSE!!!!!!!  It's actually being presented to the seller tomorrow due to paperwork that had to be completed today, but I'm so psyched!

We're starting with a low offer just to see if the house being on the market since October makes the seller more flexible than we think she is, but we fully expect to do some back and forth stuff before a final price is reached.

Fingers crossed all goes as planned - if it does, we could close as early as the first week in April! Big Smile

Yes, I'll be getting a spinal block. But I guess that makes all the numbed muscles stop moving, including all the muscles that help move stuff along in your intestines.

The c-section will be almost one week past my due date. My OB said I could wait longer if I wanted, but he suggested a week. He has been really awesome and has supported every decision I've made.

I can't be induced because I had a c-section with my last pregnancy. This might sound silly, but I just want to get it over with. I definitely feel the baby move every day, but it's getting a lot less frequent. I know that's normal towards the end, but I just want to make sure baby is safe. And a scheduled c-section does help a lot with planning, especially child care for Willa. Plus with a c-s I know what to expect, since I've done it before.
