Same with my dogs and grapes when I moved into this place. I had to build a trellis up and a fence around the grapes. Rags and Bear thought they were in heaven when they discovered ripe grapes. But they basically ate anything they could catch that didn't eat them.

That vine has always been an over producer... more than my family can eat... wild birds included.. when the dogs were banned from the grapevine the ones that fell on the ground were never picked up and as a result.. they rotted.... the birds apparently didnt want to chance going onto the ground.... but our front yard smelled like a winery....
