Funny Question: Ordering Cocktails at a Bar

Very little tops a pint of Guinness, truly. But for mixed drinks my signature choice is ALWAYS, a Kamikaze shot. Always. Lovely beverage.

 Hmm I like drinking In all seriousness, I don't drink all that much these days. I'm pretty much a beer or a glass of wine drinker at home. If I'm going out, I like pineapple and vodka (good quality vodka), dirty martinis, margaritas, washington apples, amaretto and diet coke/pepsi, long islands (it HAS to be from a place that actually uses all the alcohols and not that dreaded mix stuff - there are some bars that aren't allowed to make them right) and a drink called red death (also comes in shot form) oh lordy is that one good, fruity and deceiving about it's alcohol content.

Vodka.

Ice.

Slice of lime.

Best cocktail ever.

I'm not crazy about overly sweet drinks.  I consumed too many mai tais one night back in my friskier days and it left a lasting impression on my taste buds when they came back up.   I love a good pina colada if it's made correctly and not overly sweet.  Vodka and a tart fruit juice is probably my favorite drink.

Anything else comes by way of a shot.....tequila, or a buttery nipple.

Ooh, buttery nipples!!  That takes me back to my college days...though I hate it when they shake up the contents so its all blended together.  It defeats the purpose if the "nipple" isn't clearly visible!

Oh yeah, I do enjoy a nice frozen margarita if I'm eating Mexican food.  There's a restaurant near my house that makes wonderful passionfruit margaritas....YUM!!

 My go to is usually Vodka and Cranberry, but the last time we went out, I got something called a Watermelon Jolly Rancher.  It was GOOD and tasted just like the candy.

Does any place around you do Lady's Nights?  There's a bar here that does one every Wed, and its $6 to get in and then women get their cup refilled free all night.  That's how I find new things, I just tell the bartender to 'surprise' me b/c I don't know very many drinks.  Then if I don't like it, he can trash it, and I'm not out any money.

I also think White Russians are very yummy, but not all bars keep milk on hand.

Now that I am a more "mature" lol (dont like the word old) woman I am usually Designated driver by choice!  If I drink at all, I will usually have a shot of good tequilla w/a lime,  Then I can get a little buzz and drink water the rest of the night.

For a cocktail I might on ocassion drink a Malibu/OJ.

With a nice dinner I will have a glass of wine

Prolly my favorite is Sat and Sun mornings at home, Bailey's and coffee.....yummmyyyy!

I've done vodka & lemonade a few times, too.  Oh, and PowerAde, but I doubt you can get that in a bar.  LOL

I tried a Colorado Bulldog for the first time the other night.  Tasted like a coke float.  Yum...Vodka, coffee liqueur, milk (or half and half) and a splash of coke.

 I don't drink beer either I rarely drink and if I go to the bars with my sister's I get told stop babysitting ur drink LOL.  I guess hanging out and drinking at a young age I just got that out of my system lol.

If I do go out and drink its either a screwdriver (vodka & orange juice) but mostly it's Gin & Pineapple Juice. a few of either of my drinks will get you feeling nice lol My older sister drinks Amaretto Sour I didn't like it but then again my sister says I drink hard liquor is why lol. My younger sister drinks beer My cousin loves Apple-martini's

2 years ago a guy bought me and my sister drinks because my sister said it was my birthday he got sex on the beach  It wasn't a good drink oh and I really dislike long island ice teas omg thats some nasty stuff

I get the Asian Glow

DH gets that glow too and it happens after a very small amount of alcohol, so he rarely drinks. If he does, he prefers sweeter drinks like sex on the beach. I don't like sweet drinks at all. I usually go with a chardonnay but when I want a change, I'll order a spicy Bloody Mary. Nothing better when it's made right and you usually get some fresh veggies thrown in too. :) I do like margaritas but only on the rocks. The blended kind always give me a brain freeze.
