Mindless Chat Sunday

    Happy Birthday, Rascal!

Amanda, I hope you get over whatever you've been sick with, nine pounds is a lot of weight for someone to lose that quickly.

I haven't looked at the weather but heard yesterday we are due for more bad weather too.  I need to get the dogs out for a run before it gets bad.  We are supposed to get into the 70's today!  I so badly want to start gardening but I know that we can have some more freezes, so I'll try and wait.

I made a fritatta for brunch and man oh man it was good.

Jessica, sorry your grandmother is being such a turd but it's her loss and that's the only way you can look at it.  She may discover someday that her money won't buy her the love of her grandchildren.  It only buys her fake attention.

I guess just because you want everyone to be happy for you at your wedding reception.

And they should have been, or "forever hold their peace"!  I'm sorry, my grandmother is also incredibly negative to the point where A - she has disowned family members, and B - family members have deliberately extracted her completely, or measure the amount of time they spend with her because she's so negative.  You gotta do what's right for you... thank goodness you have a new family to lean on, now.

I'm watching a really interesting show on the Dust Bowl storms on the History Channel right now.  So fantastically interesting to me!

it is 64* and sunny Big Smile but I am inside with a long list of to-do's, sigh.  Being a grown up stinks!

Bugsy did 2.5 miles today and seems OK.  He also was outside for a couple of hours 'helping' DH with yard work.  Then he got his bath, I need to get different shampoo for him, I don't like this one.

I have done oodles of laundry, cleaned the kitchen and did all the floors and decided it was time to get the giant crate out of my living room.  I feel a little bad because Bugsy has been loving his crate since we re-set it up for the recovery period but it is just so big.  So I set it up upstairs where is upstairs bed was, we'll see.

Steaks on the BBQ tonight, definitely!

Hmm I really do need to stop wasting time LOL

So true about being a grown up.  Not all it's cracked up to be, for sure. lol

It's 78 degrees here!  Can you believe that?  We turned on the air conditioning for a few minutes it got so warm in here.  Crazy weather.  It's supposed to freeze on Tuesday night and stay in the 40' to 50's next week.

Yay Sunday.  It's a jammie day.  Just washed and groomed both bichon girls. They look beautimous.

I haven't fed the hu-kids any actual meals today. We've all been fending for ourselves I guess.  I keep telling them I'll make them something to eat but they say they're fine.

Anybody ever toy with EFT? meridian tapping/like acupressure for emotonal healing.  I tried it last night on a few issues I have and this morning also. Might be placebo but it seems like my anxiety is a bit better.

We got such a nice tease of springlike weather last week that I was ready to put all my winter stuff away. Good thng I didn't cause it's rainy and cold again and is supposed to be that way all week.

We went to the gym this morning and then stopped and picked up breakfast burritos on the way home. We picked up another other stuff that I won't have to cook dinner tonight, so that makes me very happy.

I don't know where the weekend goes, but it seems I just blinked and went from Friday to Sunday evening. At least my boss is on vacation, so that'll make for a nice week.

Amanda - I hope you're feeling better. If not, you might want to get checked out. 9 lbs is a lot to lose in a short amount of time.

Happy birthday Mechanical Angel and Rascal. I hope you both have had a great day!!

OK, if I don't vent I'm going to explode.  I have busted my butt in the RV today.  Yes, part of it is the normal spring time stuff, and the sanitizing after the mice thing, but, the filth and mess was the DS thinking that the RV is his own personal man cave.  It even SMELLED like a man cave.

I have no problem with him going out there to smoke so he doesn't freeze.  He tends to need warmth much more than we do....I can deal with the chill long enough for a smoke.  He can't.  And I've insisted that anything medicinal but also not totally legal not be IN my house.  In MI I had an RX for the stuff, here I don't.  But man, he makes such a major mess sitting out there smoking......and farting or doing whatever males do in their man caves.  Blech.

78*! Where was that weather when I was there! I would have been swimming in the ocean. Seriously though I'm not complaining. It was nice to escape from below freezing temps even if it was only for a week. When we were landing in detroit the guy next to me and ilooked out the window and he says "it looks so frozen out there doesn't it?" He sounded so depressed! Lol it really did look like a frozen tundra from above. It dragged me down for about 15 mins and then I got over it. I saw tons of birds starting there migration north while at the gulf so I know spring is not far away! That will get me by until it actually gets here :)

I'm soooo tired tho. Yesterday, I could not keep my eyes open and basically slept from 3 pm till this morning. I went to sar training with neiko and just now got home, only to realize that I have a 9am mtg in grayling (3 hrs north of here) tomorrow. Ugh. I'm not even unpacked yet! And we have another winter storm about to hit. I'm going to see if I can conference call in. I have to travel every day this week. Its going to be rough.

Ps happy bday to those that had them today and last week. And congrats to the new grad student :) I'm sure that I missed so much more big idogger events and milestones while away. It has been hard to post and read from my blackberry because the network has been so stinking slow ever since verizon and alltel merged. It was worse while in tx.

Oh but I did want to say that jackie and I met corkys relatives at the botanical gardens! What kind of duck is she again? I've been trying to find her in my bird books with no luck! I must be blind

Woooohoooooo - we may have found our next house!!  We've got a bit more researching to do and our realtor is supposed to get back to us on a few things, but assuming all goes well we're hoping to have a contract signed by this time next week! EXCITING!

I got engaged last night, YAY! I've only been dating BF for 6 years...sheesh. He had the ring hidden at our friend's house for TWO MONTHS. The turkey. I swear I will come on tomorrow and tell the whole story bit for bit, but I have dogs to bathe and general 'stuff' to do before Moanday.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay I love shiny pretty rings.

*turns green with envy*  We have a Winter Storm Warning, 7 inches of new snow tonight.

I'm in such an annoyed mood right now.  I feel like everyone is on my case without realizing how bitchy they are being!  For example I'm doing this web site for a church - for free - and it's like nothing is every *exactly* what they want, and what they want is not going to happen because it would be a full time job.  Then I shared some pics somewhere else and everyone is like "oooo what camera do you have?" and I want to just say you know people, you have to actually have an "eye" and know how to use the camera, post processing, lighting conditions, etc.  I'm no pro photographer but it gets old, people constantly asking you about your equipment like there's not actually a person with a brain and some artistic expression behind the lens and at the computer.  My photos look like they do because I put a lot of time and thought and practice into them.  And then to top it off, I've done all this work for my dog club, hours and hours working on our web site and making a new logo.  We're going to order shirts and sweatshirts so I made some mock-ups, putting the logo on the shirts in various places/colors.  Of course everyone wants a different thing and someone left a snotty comment like "is that how the logo is supposed to look?"  How would I know, I'm not a graphic artist I'm just doing this because no one else will step up!  Seriously, people can just do everything themselves from now on.... *fumes*
