    • Gold Top Dog

ONE word?  only *one* word?  You mean ... I'm only supposed to use one word with them ... you mean, like I'm not supposed to talk to them a lot?  LIke ... I can't count all the words that come before/after "good girlllllllllllll" and "goood BOY!" and .... RAH!! and Tink, whatcher doing? ... Tink, drop it .... Tink, LEAVE it ... Tink ... not yours!  Luna, don't bite your feets and "YESSSSSSSSSSSSS" .... "You guys ROCK!!" ....

    and

    Mommy loves you!!

    But wait a minit ... there's more ... so much more ... and I haven't even started on ....

    (I'm sowry ... reeely I am ... can't help it ... this is just ... me)

Its probably "good" followed closely by "LILY!!!" And "off" or "leave it" or "get outta there!". Lily is always getting on the counter or trying to bust open the dog food bins, etc.

    Leave it

    kennel

    slow down

Easy (new one since the puppy got here but everyone is learning what it means)

    Gooooooood pppppppuuuuuuppppeeeeeeeee

    • Gold Top Dog

" I'll be there in a minute!!!!!!! Ugh, Lion I said a minute not ten seconds!"

When he wants me to pet him or go outside with him he will run his cold, wet nose up the back of my leg until I do LOL.

The second most overused is "gooooooood."

    • Gold Top Dog

     "Not for you"!

    • Gold Top Dog

    Uh-uh!

This is for both dog and toddler. LOL

    • Gold Top Dog

    rwbeagles

    Waaaay too easy!!

    "Mommmmyyyy!"

    Ditto!!

    • Gold Top Dog

    "Quiet" (Harry's sooo vocal)

"Enough" (when the boys get rowdy playing and need to settle down for a bit)

And, of course, "I love you."  I think I say this more to the dogs than I do to BF, lol.

"Henry/HeeeEEEN!" is the second-most used word.  Often followed by "stop battering the blinds/barking at the squirrels on the roof/whining at the wind/licking your brother's ears/bullying your brother/humping your cousin."  Or, "drop-it", because he's always carrying a stuffie around, and is not allowed to bring them outside.

I learn so much by living with so many diverse dogs.  Or in this case, turkeys!

    • Gold Top Dog

I have a house full of butt plugs, so ours is definitely "move."  Followed closely by "yes."

    • Gold Top Dog

     "Nakies".

Welcome to my weird, little world.

    • Gold Top Dog

     Leave it/Uh Uh!

What do you have? (Ari is very prone to stealing things she shouldn't have, showing you it and then running away lol)

Whose a naughty dog? (this is actually a term of endearment hehehe)

oh these are great - pre-surgery we had gotten past the 'slow, easy, careful' commands but they have made a comeback with a vengeance.

He does get 'good boy' quite a bit but 'trade' and 'uh oh' are heard frequently enough.  In fact if anyone uses 'uh oh' and he hears it he goes real still and has a true Marmaduke face on looking for the problem.

Is he prone to impish, naughty behavior, while looked extraordinarily pleased with himself? If so, then chances are good Stick out tongue. Ari knows full well what is off limits, but her naughty side wins out more often than not.
