Vibes needed for Tina

Well we spent last night on the mattress in the living room again. She did not need to sleep in the crate. Kali and her are fine together again. Tina's only showing pain when she's tired. Then she limps a bit and walks more carefully.

Applying the antibiotic ointment is a killer though, she whimpers every time. Why couldn't they make these things in a spray?

When we have to apply something to a wound that causes discomfort, then I have DH give treats as a distraction while I do the dirty work.

Currently, Cher is on an injectable antibiotic for her skin infection.  The drug that we're using burns like fire when it goes under the skin, & she's having to get it twice a day.  The vet gave her the first dose before sending us home, & she screamed like a wild banshee.  Since then, we have made "shot time" fun by adding treats or the prospect of earning her favorite toy afterwards & she has yet to whimper about the injection.

That's a great idea! Considering the ointment is 3x a day I have no idea why I didn't think of that. Easy cheese to the rescue!!

I might have missed it - is it something from the vet or regular old Neosporin? Neosporin comes in a spray now, it's called Neo to Go. I saw it at the checkout at my Wally world the other day and I was fascinated.

Ditto what she said.  They have a hoop thingy for attaching too a keychain or something.  Its really nice.   But they also have a spray from Bandaid I think, but I'm not sure if its an antibiotic spray or just a disinfectant.

Hope Tina feels 100% really soon!

I'm so sorry Tina got hurt.  It happens so easy when they are running and playing.

Agreed.  Good thoughts from us, too, for swift healing.

I'm late as usual.  So many fast healing vibes to you & Tina.

The vet gave us mupirocin to apply 3x day.

Here she is in her t-shirt. It's a 7/8 (M) I think from the juniors section...

I'm only keeping it on her for about 30 minutes after putting the ointment on. As you can see, she really doesn't like wearing it!
