    First Mindless Chatter of 2010

Hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's Eve doing whatever makes you happiest.  I spent mine with G, so, what could be better than that for me?

I am happily looking forward to keeping the thankful energies flowing.  I am thankful that my friend Gary Z is still with us, fighting like a champ.  Pretty impressive will to live.  Thankful for the roof over my head, food in my stomach, loving dog in my reach, and all the great connections I've made.  Choosing to let some of the negative stuff slide away - it doesn't all need my attention.

So, what's on the agenda for everyone's first day in 2010?  New diets?  New life adventures?  Sleeping in late to give yourself more rest and self-care in 2010?  One "new" day shouldn't mean much, but it feels good to refresh ourselves sometimes, doesn't it?  Best wishes to everyone for a refreshing, healthy, enjoyable New Year's Day!!

Well, since I write this from my bed that I'm still currently in....I'd say R&R is on my list of things for today!!

My SO and I spent the night at home last night, just spending a nice holiday evening at home together to spend time together and doing...couple stuff. It was a beautiful way to ring in the new year.

Going to try to take the dogs for a run today....it's not going to be too too cold and it's going to rain tomorrow and Sunday, so it's really my only day to get a nice run in! We'll see how the day goes though....I just started getting symptoms of a UTI and I hate, hate, hate them! Thankfully I have some meds here as I get them a couple times a year so I can get started on them until I refill my prescription tomorrow. It's so uncomfortable though.

    Happy New Year!

I woke up before 6 this morning for no reason other than being too warm.  Have just about polished off an entire pot of coffee already.  I may be a little wired later on!

The newest great nephew should be born before the weekend is out.  IF he doesn't show up sooner the doc is going to induce at 3am Sunday morning.  Why at the hour, who knows, but.......Of course since I didn't hear from my sister last night at all, he could already be here...who knows?  If I don't get an email from her soon, will have to call and check out what's going on.

I'm going to be lazy today.  This week has been insanely busy and I'm worn out.

AWWWW....I want a coffee.  Part of my resolution was to quit caffeine.  I've been awake since 5:00am (always gotta give Tessy her meds then) and have been craving one since.  The exercise portion of the resolution will take a little effort today but I'll get around to it eventually!  LOL

Take care of the UTI Kim and congrats on the soon to be new addition Glenmar.

Hope everybody else has a great beginning to 2010.  I'm off now to search for some decaf coffee....maybe I can trick my mind.

I would never quit caffeine unless it was life or death. So good luck with that!

I drank a bit much last night and therefore had broken sleep, getting up to pee every hour! So, Todays agenda is to sleep and then clean. My house is a wreck

Last night was fun. We had a ton of laughs, the best steak dinner I've ever had and really good frozen margs :)

    Happy new year!

I slept till 7 which is very late for me.  I did manage to stay awake and see in the New Year.   I'm still sick and now my voice is no more than a funny sounding squeak.  The weather is beautiful again with sunny skies and a crisp 38 degrees.  We didn't take the dogs to the park yesterday because DH got home so late and I didn't feel like taking them alone.  Hopefully today they get a good romp.  I'm waiting on breakfast which DH is making.  Was I complaining about him the other day?  He's a gem. :)

Bugsy woke me up this morning from a DEEP sleep.  He never wakes us up so I figured he needed to go out, sigh.  I was really hoping for a nice long sleep.

Overcast but not too cold.  I walked beastie and now and going to do nothing all day.  I wish I had the energy to to go the mill and take some photos - there are sooooooooooo many birds around but I don't' have a zoom lens anyway so I'll just lay on the couch instead LOL

I desperately need a huge stack of pancakes - I wish DH would make them for me - off to go drop that hint Wink

I hadn't slept well the night before last, so I practically passed out last night and slept the whole night thru. I feel much better today. It must've been quiet around here at midnight or I was just that tired. Hard to believe it's now 2010 but like Paige, I'm totally focusing on the positives.

DH just got off work and as expected, had a very busy night. He's showering and then we'll go to the gym and come home and have a big breakfast. I'm looking forward to 3 days of resting and doing some reading. This holiday break has been wonderful but it feels like it's gone by really fast and work is going to be crazy when I go back. I choose not to even think about it for now though.

I stayed in last night since I slept wrong the night before and my neck was hurt yesterday I couldn't move.   I must have gotten bad neck vibes from Amanda - thanks Amanda! Lol   I slept in my recliner last night and feel a little better this morning. Nothing on my agenda today but rest and babing my neck but we have NO food in the house and I am hoping DH will do some shopping.  Off go go hint....

    Happy 2010 everyone!

Paige, still sending good thoughts to your friend. Glenda, good thoughts for the baby! How exciting!

Someone yesterday I think said that whatever you do on New Year's will be what you will be doing a lot of all year (Candace?) - well, whoever it was, I hope you're wrong! I went to bed at 3 after a New Year's Eve party, was woken up at 6 by Rascal crying because he had explosive diarrhea (again), stood outside in the snow with him for a half hour while he dribble-pooped, cleaned him and his crate up, went back to bed, and repeated the whole deal again at 7:30, 10, and 11. Sooooooo tired!!

I let BF sleep in through all the ordeals in the hopes that he will take care of me tonight, once I am incapacitated by exhaustion. Stick out tongue (I'm drinking tea, so I give myself... about 2 hours.)

We went to a friends house last night and hung out there.  Somehow we made it to midnight and left shortly after.  I did get to pet about seven different dogs that were running around though Big Smile hehehe.  It was actually a really nice night, our friend had built a big bonfire and we sat out there for most of the night.

Today, I have to tidy tidy and tidy the house and do laundry.  I also have to find something for dinner.  We haven't really been home this past week so we have no food in our fridge and no stores are open today.

Hmmmm, can't reach Sis.  She hasn't email, didn't answer the phone.

    Maybe baby?

Our New Years Eve party across the street was NOTHING like last year.  Last year, she had about 20 people over....all craaazy folks having a good time.  We had a huge bonfire and spent the evening shooting off fireworks and watching the shows of neighboring fireworks.  Lawnmower races...mooning, just crazy fun.

This year was completely the opposite.  Different crowd with the exception of a few.  There was only 9 people al together....and most these folks were drinking plain soda.  The conversation was strictly intellectual while sitting around a fire pit.  The night ended in Wii games and we walked home about 12:30.  Wow!  I kind of missed the last year's celebration.

I didn't get to bed until about 2am though....we were wired.  About 7am I was awakened by a very polite bark from Heidi who needed to go outside to do business.  Go, be free, have fun....let me go back to bed.  I did and got back up at 9am.  Coffee on my favorite couch cuddling with Bruder; then did some Wii Active exercising.  5 out of 5 for the week!  WooHoo!  Afterwards, went outside to exercise the dogs.  No walk this morning though.  Here it is 11am already.  DH is still in bed watching TV...I'm going to go cuddle.

Great day everyone!  Fab new year; and new decade!  I aspire to make it an excellent year!  Don't ask me how....dunno yet.  Big Smile
