Just an aside, in case no one else mentioned it, Macrobid should work for both UTI and kidney infections, so that's probably why they just started it without testing further. 

 I didn't know that about macrobid. That is a relief. Thank you. She's been dealing with an on again/off again UTI nearly ALL year.

Glad to read that mom and baby are doing well!

 Yes and she's a nervous wreck, which is to be expected.  There's all sorts of new *rules* now for pregnant moms, its driving me batty. Do you know pregnant moms are not supposed to have deli meats unless they warm it up first??

I didn't know that. Is it because it might have salmonella?

I've learned quite a bit from my coworkers on the latest and greatest restrictions. It's a wonder that many of us are alive and functiong after all the junk our moms probably ate and drank when pregnant with us. It could explain some of my brain deficits though.

 Thank you all!! It turned out to be a UTI, if it gets worse though we're to head straight to the emergency room. I don't understand why they wouldn't test further to make sure its not kidneys or something.

BUT the baby's fine!! We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. That was such a relief!!!

They put her on antibiotics, macrobid. Its supposed to be totally safe for pregnancy. They're also going to test the sample to see if its macrobid-resistant. I thought that was great!!

That's great! I'm glad it's only a minor thing but it sure would have been nice to not even have that minor thing, not that a UTI feels minor. I've heard that a picnic in the park is more fun than a UTI.
