How does your dog break the stereotype?

Hmmm, my dogs aren't ugly?  That ugly dog contest one is pervasive.

My dogs, though small, have legs.  They hike, run, and dig.  They don't ride in purses.

Lucky!  I've lived with the "Siberian howl"- you could hear my purebred one at the park at the end of the road.  My mix wasn't quite as loud, and, thankfully, only howled if I went for a walk and didn't take him (wasn't very often).

For a corgi, Tootsie is way mellow!

My foxhound mix has a great nose, but also an exceptional recall, which is not so common for his breed.  Big Smile

Fergie the Yorkshire Terror is 20, but she is NOT senile;-)

Lucky! Apollo, the Labrador, HOWLS a lot. It was funny at first, but sometimes it gets annoying. Like, when a fire truck drives by w/ the sirens on he thinks it's his job to let the entire neighborhood know by howling for a good 15-20 mins...LOUDLY. He also yodels, whines, barks, cries, etc. He's a very vocal dog when he's excited as well as when a siren goes off. He used to howl and bark when my brother played the saxaphone, too.

aww thats cute. but i can see where it would get annoying. i've only heard him howl once when he was a little puppy and he was outside and just howled for no reason...  there was a malamute at the dog park this weekend and he started howling and i thought tyson would join in but ... nope :x
