    Please help me....... (kpwlee)

I want a GSP so badly it hurts - seriously.  I feel like I am going to explode.  DH is 100% against a second dog and with Bugsy rehabbing it isn't a good time.  But Lord above me I WANT ONE!

    ok that is all

Let's see....they stink, they shed, they take up room, eat a lot, poop a lot, can be snotty. (none of this is really true, but I AM trying to help)  Wink

Oh, I'm sorry.  Puppy cravings suck.  I'd be happy to let you snuggle my little man? Wink

Seriously though, maybe once Bugsy is 100% your DH will reconsider?

someone better come put a block on all GSP rescue sites - I'm going over the deep edge...............

There is Nate in NC, Trevor in WVA and now Sonny in TN

yes I want a male and although pups appeal to me greatly I'd take a dog older than 2 because they have a harder time finding homes

I have been desperate for one for over a year and we got close in June but missed out

As for DH he isn't the movable type LOL - and I don't think the $3k knee surgery has helped the Bugsy needs a brother cause Tongue Tied

It's hard to shake the feeling of wanting another pet.  I finally lost mine after number 8.  Maybe if you keep dropping hints or maybe keep bugging the DH he'll slowly start to change his mind.

Get better Bugsy then maybe you can help mommy talk daddy into getting you a playmate.

Yep, all of the above!  Imagine Bugsy only smaller and if possible more birdy.   lol

Karen, I really would try to help if I thought it would do any good. I think your too far gone, and I only hope your husband can see your side and relent Stick out tongue. I soooo hear you. I really really really want to add a second dog. Ari needs a little brother. I want to adopt or rescue our second dog (preferably a GSD or dobie, or some mix of either breed) and I cannot help looking online at all the dogs out there just calling to me. However, my SO keeps mentioning things like, additional vet bills (Ari's touchy stomach and her emergency surgery at 5 mos. old are constant reminders of how much vet care costs), additional food costs, the possibility of having two dogs in the house as crazy as Ari, etc etc. Gah......

Is this because of the book cover?  LOL

I'm no help.  I'm the same way right now, but for Dobes....

and that gosh darn little River...never though of myself as a little dog person...but boy oh boy, its a good thing I'm far away!

You know it started a LONG time ago, when we were doing our best to figure out what is 'in' Bugsy.  DH is totally on board that our next dog will be a GSP we just have different time tables Sad

Sharon the thing is the guys are right to consider the expense - I get that and I also know and accept that DH & I have different priorities, but it is really crazy how intense my feelings are - I suppose it is my dog biological clock ticking LOL

and I know that B would be easier with a sibling even if it was as crazy as him Stick out tongue and I would want that while he is young enough to enjoy it to the full.

What about fostering for GSP rescue?  The ACD rescue I'd foster for if I had room pays for vetting, food, preventatives, etc. and gives a stipend for toys/treats/equipment.  You'd get your GSP fix and DH wouldn't have to worry about the money aspect... Wink

DON'T look at this post, Karen.  LOL

that is what started this all!  I try to stay far away from GSP websites

Erin we cannot have a fenced in area in our yard so the rescue said no - they will adopt out to e-fence but not foster Sad

    Good point Joyce!
