What's your guilty pleasure . . . . . . . Deb W.

Future sister in law's fiance is a vegan, and my fiance's birthday is November 25th(Thus, I can't go home to Ohio for turkey day), so, after future mother in law serves a *gag* vegan thanksgiving lunch, our guilty pleasure is pigging out on MEAT when we get home.Devil

Get home... have a turkey sandwich... curl up in bed with the doggies (they ALL come with us) and swear we're never doing Thanksgiving at my mom's again... If it was a really bad time, I'll rewatch the parade and try to get back into the holiday spirit.

This year my oldest is spending T-day with his girlfriend.. she's a vegan, so that should be an interesting phone call...

My daughter's boyfriend is joining us at my mom's... At least its a great training opportunity for the dogs to get used to him on neutral'ish territory... I need to pack a first-aid kit, just in case...

My mom sends all the leftovers home with us. Including the stuff she makes that only she likes!!

After everyone leaves, DH and I curl up on the couch with two forks and one big plate of pies.  Usually 2-4 slices of whatever is left.  Ah yes, guilty pleasure, indeed.

I won't be having leftovers Crying because the only thing I make for Thanksgiving besides a pot of coffee and *maybe* some pumpkin bars is reservations. I might toss a turkey breast in the slow cooker a few days later to still the *turkey sammy* cravings.

A couch, a dog, TV, a fork and of course pie.

I eat stuffing all day long.

Same here!!  And, other stuff I shouldn't be eating. . .oh well

First, let me say I'm REALLY hungry and thought - foolish me - that I could wait 'till breakfast.

    THANKS A LOT!

BUT turkey and dressing has always been one of my favorite meals!  Gotta have cranberry sauce.  As far as after dinner?  Nothing really comes to mind.  There's no telling where I'll be for thanksgiving.   I prefer smoked turkey legs for a small poor family. :)

And I'd rather have NO tradition than one I dread!!!  This year I'll be in Harper-by-God Texas!!!  WOO HOO!  That'll be a tradition I'd like to continue!!  Watch out DaneHaven!!!

I'm jealous! I'd love it if someone cooked up a vegetarian (not vegan) Thanksgiving meal. I've never had a tofurky, and once looked into making one. OMG it would take me days and I know I'd screw it up anyway. So I just eat everything non-meat and it's plenty.

We eat at my grandma's for lunch, then DH's mom's for dinner. So by the time we get home all I can do is put on some stretchy sweats and digest. LOL

Thanksgiving at my parents, is very low key as far as attire goes, so I'll be wearing the stretchy pants all day.

Oh, no, there will be no tofurky or any protein...litterally just side dishes with the butter removed and no substitutes for said butter..or cream, milk, anything tasty and fatty...last year, we had mashed potatoes...not with butter and cream..litterally MASHED boiled potatoes....at least we had a dang TURKEY!

Whipped cream with some pumpkin pie and sports.....can't go wrong here.

Jan, one of my best friends is a vegetarian.  Last year, she made a tofu turkey loaf, & it was awesome.  She said that it was really easy.  If you're interested, I'll get the recipe for you.

I usually have a glass of wine, & a slice of pecan pie after everyone leaves.  Then comes the nap!

BF and I do it here at our house for friends (new tradition we started last year) instead of traveling to be with family.  Screw 'em, we'll see 'em at Christmas, lol.

So here after dinner, the guys usually break out a poker game, so us girls sit around and gab while helping ourselves to seconds on the pie.

Booze and beer are an all-day guilty pleasure for us.  We're a bunch of lushes, lol (in case ya'll didn't already know that!).
