Elevated Feeders Cause Harm?

I did not say that I remembered this conversation from before - Samshine said that. No need to apologize.

I am apologizing anyway...I should have checked back on that before I wrote that statement.

Yes...it is an ongoing argument I believe because with all the studies that have been made...no one has ever found why these dogs are really bloating.  Until finally they do.... there will always be discussions and theories, and many article written. Is it food, bowls, stress, exersize, chest size..etc etc etc. or all of those mentioned.
I do have an article that was written a few years back that I had saved. It was written by a person that owned a Dane (still did when she wrote it) that bloated often... her article was really written about what to do if your dog bloats.  In the end though...she said that since she switched her dog to a meat based food...the dog had not bloated anymore. I don't remember if she used elevated bowls or not..but she feels sure that the grain based food that she was feeding her dog was the most of the reason for its bloating.
And I have read in several places that since people are becoming more and more concerned about which food they are feeding and there are so many more meat based choices out there that the cases of GDV have gone down.
