Glenda, I love kitchen days too.  I made some lasagna on Sunday and froze half but DH is already wanting to have it again.  I don't make it very often and it's a real treat for us. 

I'm having pumpkin pie for a late breakfast with pumpkin spice coffee.  Delicious.  I already need a nap. :)

Ladies, you just can't nickname her Aggie.  In Texas, nothing respectable is an Aggie!

I'm tired.  I didn't sleep well last night.

 I wanna kitchen day.  I might have done a kitchen day yesterday, cept I have no groceries to speak of in my house.  Think I'll do some shopping later today. 

Had a horrid night last night.  I went to bed around 11.  I had brought the dogs in for the night, they were both crashed on the kitchen floor. 

About 12 one started whining, couldn't tell which one so I got up to see.  Crusher was laying there looking at Onyx, who was up and dancing around.  So I let her out.  I wasn't confident enough to make her hold it, just in case the moose meat was affecting her wrong.  Anyway, she just went straight out into the crate with her bone and  started to gnaw on it.  Meh, whatever.  Locked her in the crate and left her and went back to bed. 

Well, about an hour later, she started to get more aggressive with her bone.  Picking it up and dropping it on the bottom of her crate, which felt like it was shaking the whole house at 1 am.  So I got up and went and made her come back in. 

She settled down for about an hour, then she was up stomping around the kitchen again whining more and more urgently.  Fine, I got up, opened the door, locked her crate and let her out to at least go guard her bone. 

That worked for her until about 3:30 when a cat fight broke out in the back yard.  Sigh.  The one good thing I can say about that, is that Onyx broke that up pretty quick, sometimes they go on for an hour and you can't see them to shoo them away cause its dark.  But I then had a barking dog in my yard at 330 am.  Up I got again, to coax her in.  Crusher desprately wanted to go out at that point, but I wasn't falling for it. 

By the time I got back to bed it was closer to 4:30 and do you think I could fall asleep?  Ha!  I finally did and my stupid alarm went off.  I decided to hit the snooze button, and the next time it went off, I fumbled for it too long and it woke Kelci up...Thus I still haven't had a shower.  and all I wanna do is go back to bed.

Tomorrow is my control unleashed class with abbie. I'm so excited. I talked to the vet about getting her on prozac for a little bit while we work on her training iin hopes that will help her concentrate and not be so anxious that she can't think.

Abbies iron levels are in the 400s - beyond toxic for dogs and nearly human toxic level. She's acting fine though so we are staying the course for the next 2 weeks then re-evaluate. Did I mention she ate a hand warmer?

I have the temp foster again for a few days. She actually played last night! I was so happy. This dog is a total scaredy cat and shakes 24/7. Her foster mom said that she has come out of her shell since she was here last time. Hopefully this visit will help too.

Busy day today full of meetings. Hopefully it'll go by fast!

Wow, for a non-dog thread, there's an awful lot going on. I hope all the puppers start feeling better and the crazy ones calm down. Sassy was antsy last night too and as hard as I tried to coax her to relax so we could get some sleep, she just wouldn't. She has a nice dog bed in the garage and that's where she wanted to be. Whatever. At least I thought I'd be able to sleep. Instead, I was awake almost every hour. No idea what that was about but I feel worn out today.

Why am I stressing about going on vacation? Isn't the idea to get away and relax? I'm worried about stupid stuff with the dogs and how my boss will handle things when I'm gone. It makes me mad at myself to be feeling this antsy about dumb stuff.

Cathy, since your trip is stressing you out, I will bite the bullet & go to Maui in your place.  That way you can stay home to take care of things.  It will be a sacrifice on my part, but I'm willing to do it for you.

 Julie, good luck at class with Abbie.  Sorry about Lily and the SAR training.  I really think they jumped the gun on their decision. 

Sarah, meant to tell you yesterday how glad I was to hear your Mom's cancer was caught early.  She's lucky to have a daughter to help her through this.  Hugs.

Amanda, your big heart is touching. lol I was going to make the same offer but I guess I will let you make the sacrifice and go to Maui so Cathy won't be all stressed out.  LOL  Cathy, I do the same when we go anywhere.  Once I actually leave, it all falls away and I'm able to relax.  Except for checking on the dogs of course.  lol

I have an idea. Why don't I convince DH to stay home with the dogs and we can all go instead? I never worry when I'm traveling by myself and DH is home with the dogs. Yeah, that's a perfect idea. We'd have the bestest time!!

Seriously tho, when I think about all the stupid stuff I have to tell the girl who'll be staying with them, it makes my head hurt and it'll make her head hurt too. The dogs will be fine but I'm going to have to explain that if dog A does x then it means y but if dog B does x it means z, and on and on....know what I mean??

What kind of trouble do you think the 4 of us could get into in Hawaii?  Not much if we leave Deb home.   Cathy, can Deb come, too?  It'll be memorable (for most of us...LOL).
