oh he would definately be an indoor dog. We arent even allowed to have dogs live outdoors here on base. My little guy almost had to stay outside one time during a hurricane evacuation. We stayed with some relatives of a guy who evac'd with us in TN. They had a little daschund that lived outside becuase they didnt want dirt and all that stuff in there house. They actually told us Buster had to stay outside at night or if we were to go anywhere. I was really pissed off but I managed to talk them into at least letting him stay inside in a secluded part of the house. I mean yes it is there house but it is my dog! We had left one afternoon to go shopping to de-stress from the hurricane situation and left him there with the families kids that were of highschool age. When we got home it was raining and buster was outside scratchin like hell looking all upset. I got really mad at them and refused to leave again with out him. His paws were raw and starting to bleed becuse they ignored him. He was shaking and looked depressed. I slept in the den that he was allowed in everynight. My DH was embarrassed w/ me and how much I babied him. I almost got a hotel the rest of the time there. He's a small dog..he isnt equipped to be an outdoor dog. Especially if its something he isnt used to. BT's are especialy sensative to temps and are easily emotional dogs.

igh: I hate remembering that evacuation. My DH though has began to understand why I was the way I was during that time. He was never a dog person and didnt understand but the longer we have Buster the more he himself is turning into a softy.
